Maggie:  Maybe we would get something done.

I believe Dr. Zwelling in on the right track.

A Blind Date

sibelle:  China and Russia "King" and "Queen" !

Now, that’s a sobering thought.

phyllis:  Anything that enhances,…

LOL.  I know the umlaut is a German thing, but I like the two "eyes" peering over the e, and the sound they invoke.  Naïve isn’t anywhere near as attractive.  But, I think I’m getting off topic.  Now, that Obama had better shape up, that’s all I can say.

sibelle:   The european videos of MO are hilarious!

I can just imagine.  The Obamas should probably stop trying to impress the "Old World".  It can’t be done.  Europe has seen it all…  the good, bad and the ugly.  Some centuries more one than the other.

Mahulda:  …are just groovy baby, yah!!

LOL.  We are pretty neat, aren’t we.

Maggie:  ColorofChange.org asked advertisers to stop supporting Beck’s TV show.

Did it have any effect?  Because Beck is still going strong from what I can see.

sibelle:   Slow motion!

LOL.  You are funny and full of mischief today.

phyllis:  (no need for an umlat above the e, by the way)

I like it.  I like it in Israël, in Noël, in Raphaël, etc.  Dresses up the word a little bit, don’t you think?

I do hope I have finally made myself clear.

You have, and for what it’s worth we all have concerns of such a terrible thing happening.  No one wants that.

sibelle:  The mawkishness of the left has them caught in a dream!

Exactly.  It has become beyond silly the way they idolize him.  He’s a young man hired to do a job…  nothing more than that.  If it appears with time that he is not performing up to expectations, then the American people need to consider replacing him.  And beyond that, we never voted for/hired Michelle.

sibelle:  Can you imagine this country without conservative radio?

Boring, indeed, unless you like music and sports.  I think the libs would like the news media to be something along the line of China or Russia where the government controls all the outlets and everything that is being talked about.

phyllis:   …some 47 years ago.

Why would you include it in your dialogue if it wasn’t pertinent to how you think today?  Why Tom Friedman’s quote on what occurred in Israël years ago?  Why was that necessary to include?  You are simply trying to make a statement using other people’s words.  That’s fine.  I think I understand more than you realize.

…our President involves himself in all aspects of the American experience shows me that, yes, indeed, he is doing a damn good job.

I respectfully disagree.  The President is hired for four years, possibly eight.  He is not a benevolent king, or any kind of king.  His job is not much different than that of a CEO.  He does not need to intrude into every nook and cranny of our lives.  We hope with every president we elect that we get a decent leader who will keep us safe and America strong and prosperous for the duration of his term.  Then we move on.  I don’t remember having any deep abiding love for any of them.

into children’s books,…"

I was in Target shopping for first readers for my granddaughter and there was a child’s book with Obama on the cover.  I’ve seen it there before.  In my long life, I don’t recall ever seeing a book on a living president among children’s literature.  Never.  What’s that all about?

Could they be the same kinds of folks who delight in telling us over and over how ignorant, ill-prepared, etc. our President is?

Those of us who did not vote for Obama have suspected all along that he did not have the background or experience to be our CEO.  He has a lot of lofty ideas, but they are not coming together.  That’s what people bemoan.  What spurred the left to criticize Sarah Palin and her family as strongly as they did?  Talk about ongoing malice.  And she was just the governor of an underpopulated state with no responsibilities to any one of us.  People like to harp, I guess that’s the answer to that one.

Mahulda:  Interesting, the most frequent purveyors of ignorance and vitriol complaining about the very activity in which they giddily engage.

Perfect.

phyllis:  "the steady drum-beat of ultra right-wing propaganda with which the citizenry is constantly besieged."

Unless the citizenry listen to FOX News or read the Wall Street Journal daily, I don’t know how they are being besieged.  Other than the C-SPAN stations, TV media is totally slanted towards the Democratic agenda.  The truth is the citizenry has to go looking for conservative conversations, so they go to talk radio or FOX, or blog online.

About being besieged, Obama has taken over the air-waves as much as he can.  Every station, even FOX and C-SPAN, carry his every speech, his every announcement, his every plea, his every plan.  He reaches into schools, into children’s books, into everything he can.  That’s being besieged.

And this alluding to past assassinations is troubling.  GWB was threatened with murder and mayhem time and time again, and no one seemed to care — matter of fact, too many enjoyed the shoe-throwing incident.  Regardless of what you think of GWB, this was a serious insult to America, far more serious than the Chicago Olympics.

As much as the left would like to silence the right, for the good of America, I hope that never ever happens.  FOX News drives me batty, but I am ever so grateful that they exist.  Conservative radio, please carry on.

deber:  Democratic state is it not?

Totally, with Patrick Kennedy as one of their Reps.  Both Senators are Democrats and the other Rep is a Democrat.  Their state legislature is overwhelmingly Democrat.  The unions run roughshod over the whole thing.

A one-party system just doesn’t work well.  Too much cronyism.
