Raising Taxes and Protectionism: Recipe for Double Dip? by Liz Peek

Marcia:  …that we can forward to our Representatives in our Government to help with the decision making.

Problem with our representatives is that if they are Republican, their input is not heard.  So we have a big chunk of the U.S. lliterally not represented in Washington.  Thus, the frustration.  The Dems own the government, remember?

Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

deber,

Michelle Malkin is so funny, but I’ll take it one step further and suggest that Nancy P. follow Charlie G. into retirement.  She is becoming unhinged.  If the great unwashed know what’s happening with ACORN, how could she not know?

Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

Mary:  ‘there are none so intolerant as the "tolerant."’

I always find it amazing how they, the opinionated, never see that for themselves.  Instead, they are talking to an empty room, or to the great unwashed and uneducated.  It never occurs to them that the blank stares in the empty room have something to do with disbelief.

Margo:   People say the same old thing over and over again, and never mind that it doesn’t track.

I hope you include yourself in that statement.  You are adamant in what you believe, and refuse to change your stance.

Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

Margo:  Joe Wilson,

This one man’s attitude does not reflect the feelings of everyone who opposes Obama’s policies.  Somehow, that’s where we’ve ended up.  If southern bred Joe Wilson has a race issue, it doesn’t mean all of the protesting folks in Washington on 9/12 are racists.  Listening to Nancy Pelosi’s recent trembling address, one would think the loyal opposition were members of the KKK.  This overreaching has got to stop because it’s just inflammatory…  not to mention insulting.

Lynn:  He had to have known it was the 75th anniversary of the Russians invading Poland…

It’s coincidents (?) like that that cause many of us wonder if this administration is malicious or just unaware.

You made a lot of good points.

deber:  Colin Powell.

I think he would have made an excellent president.

I Was the Other Woman, by Jane Ganahl

Such an old story.  Always heartbreaking, always damaging.  Yet there are groups of people where polygamy works.  The variable must be love and the intensity of it.

In reading Eleanor Roosevelt’s life story, I remember a sadness when she discovered FDR’s love letters with …  (I’ve forgotten her name).  Somehow Eleanor deserved better after bearing all those children…  after loving Franklin so sincerely.

How many books have been written and movies made wrapped around this plot…

Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

deber:  Paul Ryan

He has a lot of potential…  I hope the Republicans advance and support him.  Whether he’d want the miserable job (of POTUS) is another thing.

What is appealing about Paul Ryan is that he appears to be focused and grounded in common sense.  And boy do we need some savy and common sense in the next administration.

Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

Mary:  How dare the liberal white media elitists use and betray historic racism to gin up their political folly—the mass acceptance (lack of questioning) of all things Obama.

And that is just about what it comes down to, isn’t it.  The cry of Racism is the Dems last hope.

Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

Zainab:  White privilege…

I understand the concept of white privilege.  If this is a country where white privilege is institutionalized, as you say, then what are we going to do about it—how can we change that?  Does a Rev. Wright change anything by preaching hatred for the whites?  Does a gang of kids on a bus move anything forward by beating up on a lone white boy?  I live in New England.  There are neighborhoods around Boston that a white person wouldn’t dare to walk through because he/she would not come out alive.  Is this the way to settle the score?  A way to get rid of white privilege?  If it is, it is not working.  We’re simply filling up our prisons with young deadend lives.

…rampant racism that IS still present against African Americans and other minorities in the U.S.

I’m not seeing that.

Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

Mel:  You on the other hand have a 100% record on this site,of defending any and all republicans,…

I sincerely want the Republicans to win in 2010 to bring back some balance to Congress and other government.  In Massachusetts, I will vote Republican even though, up to recently, I did like the Democratic congressman who represents my district.  Might not do me any good, but it will be my protest.

Any party that has the upper hand becomes the bullying party.  And when it’s a Democrat, they just spend like crazy.  We cannot afford to continue down this path.

So, you’re an Independent who always votes Democrat?

Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

deber: …might not like the republican presidential candidate in 2012

I’m so disgusted with the Democrats that I won’t have any trouble voting for Republicans in 2010 and 2012.  I hope the Republicans do well because this one-party government is no good.

Margo Howard: The Origins of Obama Rage?

Christi:  You shouldn’t speak for people that you really know nothing about!

Just an observation from where I stand here in New England.  We all have a point of view.
