Palin Vows to Break Glass Ceiling for Women, Win or Lose Nov. 4 (Video)

Why won’t Sarah Palin release her medical history? What’s up with that? Nobody should vote for any presidential or vice-presidential candidate who refuses to disclose his/her health records. Why is she stalling until after the election?

Books are what I wish for. If I already have it, at least I can exchange it for one that I haven’t read. These are frugal times, so wear your good jewelry sparingly and take that old Hermes scarf still in the box out out of the box, pull it through a scarf ring, and wear it any where.

He is so presidential. His economic plan sounds solid and sound. I love when he says, “I’m worried about …. and then says that, “that’s what I am going to worry about every day when I’m in the Whitehouse.” As a supervisor at a polling location here in RI on Tuesday, we were told at our training session tonight that we can expect a 90% turnout. The consensus everywhere I go is that this is the most important election of my generation. Heath care, education, the economy is what people are talking about. He says, “I am my brother’s keeper, I am my sister’s keeper.” He worked to keep loose nukes out of the hands of the ignorant. We like his core values and his goals. This is our chance to vote to change the direction of the country, so vote on Tuesday. I love it when he says that he is not a perfect man and that he might not be a perfect president, but that he will always be honest with us. Take any person that you know who needs assistance to vote. You and that person who needs assistance will fill out an easy “Person Requiring Assistance Form.” Help get out the vote.

If you could give away one million dollars, what or who would you give it to?

I would use the money to help fund a grass-roots project that I am currently organizing in Newport, RI, called family-to-family that is a last resort for families that have fallen out of favor with the system; they’ve fallen through the government cracks and are homeless. RI has the highest rate of unemployment in the nation, nearly ten percent. We have a woman called Nina, age 24, with four children, who was evicted from Federal Housing because she couldn’t pay her rent. Her food stamps used to last her through three weeks, now she’s lucky if she gets two weeks worth of food for her family of five. Because she has been evicted from federal housing, her family is homeless. (Our current sytem dictates that she cannot reapply for HUD housing for three years.) Nina is forced to live on the streets. We are trying to help Nina and her four children, but fastly there are many more Ninas. Just this week, we kept on the electricity of a mother of two by paying the turn-off man $60. in cash. My mission is to use all money to stave off evictions by giving one time gifts directly to the landlord or utility company, thus filling in the gap. For instance, with a one-time payment we could get a mother with children out of a shelter—or off the street—- and into housing by paying the landlord the first, last, and current month rent. We would take referrals through the established resources, so that we could keep our expenses down by not having to screen the families because they have already been screened by th system. Therefore, any monies raised would directly benefit the family and would fill in these oh so many gaps because they would go directly towards the improvement of the families living situation and not towards any unnecessary overhead. Here in RI, home foreclosures and evictions are hugely, hugely on the rise. There is no government agency in place to assist in these emergency situations. Consequently, we have homeless families living here in vacant garages, walking the streets with baby in stroller in the cold, and yet keeping the school age kids in school. family-to-family is going to happen whether someone funds it a million dollars or I raise the money family-to-family.

It's fall arts and culture season! What have you seen, read, experienced or heard lately that you'd like to recommend?

The Elizabeth Peyton show of her paintings at the New Museum on the Bowery in NYC.

Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever had an out-of-body experience or felt an otherworldly presence you couldn't deny?

I’m with Whoopi. My house has friendly ghosts. They don’t seem to mind having me around and they don’t bother me. I even find it comforting in the wee hours of the morning knowing that they are here in the house.

My daughter, the energy banker, says that the economy is in for a long haul, a difficult ride throughout 2009. She says that I have to hugely cut my expenses. With an Exeter, Harvard, Yale, Wharton Business School education, I’m listening to her advice.

The Dow closed at an all-time high a year ago today. How has the current financial free fall impacted your portfolio or savings?

My daughter the banker says that we are in for hard times through 2009. My European friends are greatly concerned. When my Swiss banker cousins are worried, I’m worried. At any rate, we must not panic.

We are in for tough times through 2009, according to my daughter the banker. Tighten your belts. Cut your spending over 50%. Check your credit rating to make sure that it is accurate.

Could you live without meat?

I read the Skinny Bitch Diet eighteen months ago and those women convenienced me that I should go back to being a vegetarian. Meat and dairy products make one’s organs work too hard. At that time, I was feeling that my liver, bladder and kidneys were becoming progressively more and more sluggish. Since I’ve stopped eating meat and dairy again (I was a vegetarian in my twenties.), I feel that those organs are happier. It is hard for me to be a strict vegetarian because nothing is more tedious to a host than having a picky-eater-guest. I eat something filling before I go out so that I can avoid the dairy and the meat, and I look for the veggies and fruit that are served. I am not grossed out when I take a bite or two of filet mignon or Colorado lamb. It is a waste to take just a bite, but I taste and remember why I’ve given up making meat and dairy part of my daily diet. I’ve learned to like light soy milk in my organic coffee and spelt cereal. It is important to be open to all tastes, so I don’t make a spectable of myself in restaurants and order salmon or sole. Not only are my organs less strained, but my breasts feel happier. My nails and hair have gotten stronger and I my bladder is as happy as it was before having children. When we entertain, we serve fish, fowl or meat, but I taste and push it around my plate, which is what I would do at someone else’s dinner. Aside from not having to urinate frequently, I’ve also notice that I have a pleasant natural scent. Need I say more?

Obama Camp Shoots Down Rumors of Biden Dropout

Palin holds the baby under her arm as if he was a football that she was carrying out to the playing field. Special need babies need a lot of attention. I don’t understand why she had the baby, if she’s not paying attention to it. You’re right, Cheryl, there is something highly suspicious about the family dynamics. Maybe Palin’s husband is the dad and the daughter is the mom.

Which of the following has the biggest stigma associated with it?

Ask Margaret Mead. If only we could. Remember her theory that a woman has two phases to her true love: the match who gives the biologically correct descent and the younger man who satisfies after the babies have left the nest.

What are the biggest changes, positive or negative, your body has been through in the last ten years?

Thanks, James, I’ll try drinking a glass of water when I wake up, but if that doesn’t work, I’ll brew that coffee.

What are the biggest changes, positive or negative, your body has been through in the last ten years?

I don’t look in the mirror because I don’t want to obsess on my looks; instead I try to focus on being healthy. For me it is all about metabolism. It just isn’t what it was and the only way that I can rev it up it is to drink too much coffee and exercise twice a day. Keeping my mind active and engaged is relatively easy, keeping my body moving is a huge challenge. When my body feels tight from the core, I feel more confident.
