Message to All Whining Female Democrats: Hillary's Out. Get Over It, by Barbara Goldsmith

Well, when it is all said and done, I think it comes down to character. And I just could never allow myself to vote for a man who would call a woman (his own wife yet) the “c” word. I just can’t get past that, and hopefully, never will. Senator McCain is not a gentleman. That still matters to some of us.

Thank you Frank and Jacki. Please know I am a fan of your postings as well.

The New Catch-22 for Women

Vicki, it is never too late to return to education. My partner has finally decided what he wants to do, and is returning to college this fall part-time. Yes, it is a huge change in our lifestyle (no more jetting off to Vegas 3-4 times a year!) but the sacrifices are more than worth the pride and self-worth he will receive. You might be surprised how many grants and loans are available these days for returning students. But whatever you decide, know that you have given your granddaughter sage advice that she will thank you for.

I am an Obama supporter and have been from the beginning. That said, I was appalled when folks started calling for her to drop out of the race as she was “hurting the party”. Hurting the party? Really? Thanks in a very large part to Senator Clinton, the Democratic Party had the largest turnout in years. And since when do we encourge people to quit just because they are behind? That’s not what we teach our children. We tell them to stick it out and play to the end and then win-or-lose be a good sport. Today Senator Clinton is campaigning with Senator Obama. You know what I call a person like that? A damn good sport.

Advice to Those About to Marry: Don't! Here's Why ...

I just want to option to marry my partner. I don’t care if we decide to spend $3.00 or $300,000. I just want the option to marry in my own home city. It will not come soon. Sad.

What advice do you have for Hillary Clinton?

I have been an Obama supporter from the start. However, I was appalled when people began telling Senator Clinton to “quit” or that she was “hurting the party”. Balderdash! What I would like to say to Senator Clinton (I wouldn’t presume to give her any advice) is that you ran a great race, you are a major reason for the huge turn-outs this primary season, and I am in awe of your intelligence, graciousness, and determination. Well run contest Senator.

How many times have you tried to quit smoking?

I quit for a year just to see if I could. I did it, and then went back. I missed it too much. Life is too damn hard; use whatever crutch you need to get you down the road.

Liz Smith: Gays Don't Have the Same Rights as People on Death Row

If you knew me and my partner, you wouldn’t think twice about our genuine love and respect for each other, and I would hope if your head got in the way, you might allow your heart to make the decision to vote for and later attend our marriage ceremony. I am in Texas though, so I am not holding my breath for anything to happen in my home state anytime soon.

Who Is She? Part Two

Deaer Suzanne: No, I meant to say I have been in a relationship for 5 and a half years, not 55. Sorry for the confusion. No, I am not affiliated with Gawker.com, though I do read it and like it. Thank you much for two things: The huge laugh you gave me about the “wedding” and yes, my partner and would love to attend that shindig…and for defending me on the other post as a man you don’t mind joining in on the conversations.

On Tuesday you told us what you slept in. Today, we want to know: How many people have you slept with?

@ki b - I do see your point and thank you for elequently and politely stating your case. I will move on and wish all well!

Who Is She? Part Two

Maybe I am just an idiot (have only been in a committed relationship for 5.5 years) but after all the things they have shared and the commitment they have made…why is she even having to consider talking about this? I mean…if you can’t talk to your partner, what kind of relationship do you have? Truly asking, not judging…what am I missing here? Thanks in advance for the replies.

I don’t remember and I don’t care. But I am grateful for all the experiences as they have helped make me the man that can happily proclaim absolute fidelity these past 6 years. That may not sound like much to everyone, but it is a pretty big damn deal to me! ;-)

What do you sleep in?

700 thread-count white (only!) sheets. Your bed is not the place to be thrifty!
