My understanding is that the CA Supreme Court answered the question, do the people have a right to vote on changes in the constitution?  They said yes.  I do not think they were answereing the question about gay marriage because it was not what they were asked to rule on.  Right? or Wrong?

I have one question about the recession/depression.  Who is making money off of all this? 

I have never thought about this much, but I agree with why call yourself a Catholic if you do not agree or support their doctrine?  I am not Catholic but I am amazed at the number of people calling themselves Catholic who obviously use birth control.  If all those were excommunicated, the Catholics would save a fortune on communion wafers.

The only thing I’d add is the Diane Rehm Show and Garrison Keeler. The only radio I listen too.

Thought the show was so much better than in the past.  Now if they can just get winners to stop pouring out a list of names they want to thank … so boring for a TV audience.

I personally think that having children is a joy, but we should have no more than 2 … after that if you want more adopt. We need to set an example that we are aware that having more children impacts not just the family, but the world. The more we have the more we take from others. I know this message is not popular in America, but we need to set the example for the others. China had to limit their population to feed their people. This day is coming for us too.

I would be interested to know how many have actually seen the movie they voted as their favorite.

Since when are contraceptives abortion. State governments OFFER contraceptives to those who ask for it. Are the poor not allowed to limit the number of children they have? This is responsible government. If we - and that means all of us - do not reduce the number of children in our families the earth will not be able to feed the multitudes. This is taking responsibility.

They’d better be good. I have supported Obama since the SC primary because I did not like the way the Clinton’s were speaking about him. BUT no one could fault Hillary last night! What a grand speech. She was over the top. Makes me proud to be a woman and democrat.

Part of this might be that the older we get the worse our legs look! At least, some of us need to cover them with slacks!

I heard someone on Charlie Rose a few weeks ago [sorry, I’ve forgotten his name] who is an expert in energy. He says that there is a “4th generation” nuclear reactor that burns the material – almost all of it – and that we should look into that. I am afraid of the waste material scattered around everywhere that is dangerous for generations and generations. But if we can make it safe then go for it. But that’s a big IF!

I sort of graze all day. I like eating but not a lot at one time. So I put other!
