wOw's Views on the News: Is It Time for Clinton or Obama to Throw In the Towel?

Wake up, Cherokee rose. They don’t want Hillary out of the race. Why do you think Fox and Murdoch support her? They want her to win. Do you think that Fox news would give her all of this coverage if they wanted her out of the race? No. They wouldn’t show her face at all, just like they decided not to show John Edwards. They didn’t give him any air time. Remember? Listen, I used to like Hillary. Please read what I am saying here. Hillary is a problem for the Democrats. She is. Think about this: The Democrats cannot win without the black vote. Ask yourself this: Why would a black voter come out for Hillary? There is nothing in it for them. All they will think is how HC destroyed any hope they had. So why should they come out for her? They won’t. And we will have McCain in office. And you can thank HC for that. HC needs to step down and do what is right for the good of the country, for the Democratic party. She doesn’t care about you. She doesn’t care about anyone but herself.

Yes. Hillary should get out, but she won’t. The Republicans want Hillary to be our nominee, because they know she can’t win against McCain, whereas Obama can. There is no way Hillary can win. I can’t imagine a single black person voting for Hillary. If Hillary is our nominee, McCain will win this election. There is no question. We need our Democratic nominee. The longer this thing drags out, we are giving up campaigning time. We can’t afford that. Hillary is using talking points to destroy Obama, and the media is picking up on that, taking it, and running with it. And it is all Hillary’s fault. The media is controlling the vote, and Hillary is helping put McCain in office. Her negative campaigning, her right-wing talking point tactics are disgusting. She is jeopardizing the Democratic party’s chances of winning. McCain could just take a long vacation, come back next year, and Hillary would have won the election for him. There is no way Hillary can get enough votes to become our nominee. She should walk away now, because all she is doing is destroying the Democrat’s changes or winning the election. I think she knows she cannot win. She wants McCain to win, so she can run against him next time. I believe that. Thank you.

Today is Earth Day! What's the most wasteful thing that you do?

1. Even though I bought a water filtration system from Costco, and installed it at my kitchen sink, I still occasionally buy bottled water for convenience sake. I am lazy, and sometimes don’t take the time to wash out my used plastic bottles with hot, soapy water, rinse them out, and refill them with tap water. I will work on that. 2. I use plastic bags in my home office and my kitchen for paper trash and garbage. I take out kitchen garbage daily. 3. Even though I went to Target and Trader Joe’s and bought microfiber kitchen cloths, I still use paper towels to wipe up spills, etc., and I use way too many of them. I need to buy more of the microfiber cloths and stop buying paper towels. 4. My home office is not paperless. I am trying to go that way, but still need to print out paper occasionally. I do however, recycle paper in the printer (turn it over and print on the backside). 5. I use my washer daily. 6. I drive to the grocery store either daily, or every other day. 7. I waste time in the kitchen with regard to meal preparation. Instead of going to the grocery store once a week, chopping up onion and celery, for example, once a week, storing them in containers in the fridge, I chop up onion and celery, etc. daily for whatever dishes I prepare. So there is a lot of repetitive cleaning and chopping, etc. going on in my day. I am on the other hand, trying to get away from meat daily, and incorporate grains and vegetables and fruits into my diet. It is better for me, and the planet. 8. I could conserve on driving time, by organizing my stops when running errands in the car. I just go from place to place without a plan. To my credit, I am buying less clothing than I ever have. I am laundering the clothing that I have, that I do not wear, that which is in good condition. I am giving that away. I am changing my yard to one which needs very little water. Like those you see in Arizona. Rock and cactus, instead of grass and plants. Thank you.

What do men not know about women?

Women want to be adored. Nurture us. Validate our feelings. Most importantly, make us feel adored. You can say things like, “I adore you.” That works. Bring us flowers once in a while. If we seem tired, draw us a warm bath and bring us a glass of good wine. Ask us what we think about things, and then listen. If you make us feel adored, we will appreciate you more.
