Sorry Sally, but I’m really sick and tired of hearing and seeing McCain’s “hardship” held up like a badge of honor - like THAT’s the reason he should be president. Since he’s admittedly FOR war - that’s a reason for me not to want him to have his finger on the button. I feel badly that he was imprisoned - but that surely does NOT qualify him to intelligently govern a country that is sadly mired in a useless war brought on by 8 years of poor judgement!

Obviously you didn’t listen to her speech - it WAS scary!!! And so are the things she stands for!

OLD?? Probably don’t want to go there in the same sentence with McShame. And see the above notations about surrounding yourself with “healthy, regular mentors or peers” - those would be who? George W, Cheney, Rove and the rest of the disaster team???

Yes - and from more continued reading (all evening) I’m even more afraid!!!!! And that dear “Anita” lady was Anita Bryant and she set the cause of freedom for millions of Americans back way too many years! So very glad the “Palin terror” is spread to so many thinking, logical women (and men) who will work even harder for Obama/Biden so that she can go back to AK and take her vicious rhetoric with her!!

James Dear Boy - Please be serious - how can the GOP talk about those issues when they know NOTHING about them - they’ve had NO example of leadership in that regard in recent history, and they have the audacity to ignore the critical things we ALL care about - their’s is a tactic of sarcasm, attack and ignorance for what really matters to this country. Poor John is really out of touch with our reality and Sarah has no concept of how to deal with what’s going on in the lower 48! I have been an Obama supporter from the git-go but Sarah’s vapidness and meanness makes Hiliary look and sound like a genius! I would really PAY to see those two debate - HRC would chew her up and spit her out in the first 10 minutes!!

Whoopi - I totally agree with everything you said - and the old adage “Be afraid, be very afraid” comes to mind. From all the threads/blogs I’ve read on this site - she is definitely a polarizing entity - and I don’t mean that in a good way. I’ve never been personally involved (phone calls, licking envelopes etc) before in a political campaign - but have decided to do whatever, whenever I can for Obama/Biden to stop the destructive policies of the last 8 years!!!

My eyes are truly crossed and my brain is frying - I’ve just read every single ONE of the responses above (have been gone all day!). And while I was truly impressed with Obama’s speech last night and I plan on voting for change in November to get away from the disaster of the prevous 8 years - I am really caught up in the moronic soap opera that McSame has had the audacity to attempt to “foil” (fool) us with! Sadly - he doesn’t “get it” and he must think the rest of us are blindly stupid sheep to vote for a woman - any woman apparently will do. I’m taking my fried brain and crossed eyes to something less stressful - the U.S. Open - and will take up this mess again in the morning.

Michelle - Loved your comments and your sentiments about W echo mine exactly!! And let’s fact it - after 8 years of ruining this country - he STILL doesn’t have any experience!! Oback and anyone he brings on board will do a better job with one hand tied behind their backs - and after the mess W has left them - that’s about how I’m sure they will feel!

HRC’s speech was a defining moment for her. I truly believe if she had been able to convey ALL that from the gitgo in her campaign - she would be the nominee! NO way, NO how - NO McCain!!!! Full speed ahead!

Sorry Carol - but by NOT voting, you are just helping the country continue to go down a destructive path. If everyone felt the way you do - we would NEVER be able to affect change for the country and the various issues that mos of us are concerned about would never be addressed. I feel badly that you did not get your way with HRC - but even she is releasing her delegates to Obama - so to honor her decision, the least we could do is vote!!!!!

De - You hit the nail on the head as usual - let’s put our inspiration, hope and belief in this ticket to work to make sure it becomes a reality in November!

EKA - “IF the Democrats can take …….” The IF has to be when!! If we all get off our individual pitty-pots at not getting exactly what WE wanted and work our collective butts off - Obama/Biden can and will make a difference in this country. I agree that HRC will play an important part in moving things in the right direction and today is indeed the first day of the rest of our lives!
