wOw's Comments of the Week 4/21 - 4/25

First live concert event: I was a grade school kid and heard the Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl, very exciting. Though didn’t see too much as was stuck down amid towering adults so mostly had views of bottoms and backs. First live sports event: The National Horse Show that takes place every November at the Earl Warren Show Grounds in Santa Barbara. This event inspired me to learn to ride hunter-hack and jump, and to eventually compete in shows myself for seven years. As a result someone gave me a foal in the bloodlines of Northern Dancer….pretty nifty surprise.

Yvonne- He’s a male Freeper all right except when he posts otherwise. His own blogspot link follows. He’s made quite a collection of writing here for a ‘doctor’ who has licensing standards and a professional code of ethics to adhere to. www.drmarkklein.blogspot.com/ He espouses radical views including bombing Iran population centers; a proponent for a diabolical war crime. Mark Klein has his own blog to spread his hate and lies and just uses this site like a heat seeking missile going directly at his target—women.

TOCTOC—Whatever….you’re the gal who told the Chinese man from China that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about re China….because you had a job there once and hosted a family. You’re the gal who thinks the extraordinary group of successful media women who gave us this site propose ‘shallow’ questions. ‘Gives women a bad name. Fortunately I don’t see thses kind in my world. Possibly we spray here.” Save your spray…..no urban woman is going to invade your terrority. But such a noble thought.. Hmmm…where did we last of such an notion of ‘spraying’ people we don’t like. Oh that’s right. Bush (depleted uranium a WMD) and Hitler. I do declare TOC you are so high-minded.

McGin-Klein-“reminds me of my little son when he talks incoherently in his sleep.” and child of yours would be rather incoherent to anyone but the Coulter-Hannity-Savage-O’Reilly crowd…..

Klein-McGin….why disappointed with a typo insult….you don’t mind resorting to them…you only like tactics if you use them not when they are turned against you.

McGin-Klein—Yes do contact someone. Mark Klein isn’t on this thread because you and he are the same, or he’d be right here doing exactly what you are doing. You are a bitter woman hating GOP man here to be the fox among the pigeons can’t spot a freelance [or paid] Freeper when they see one. You are the one who needs serious help. All you posts are collected Klein and they make quite a package for the licensing board esp when comparing the writing style/ideology/tactics to ‘McGin’… You admire Murdock just fine when he is going after Demos but not if his same Coulter-Hannity-O’Reily tactic are used against you. You are a coward. “Dr.” Klein is no doctor…..he may have rec’d a license but he is no doctor….and neither are you. I was Director of Academic Ops for a university and all the chairs in my area [psy, sociology, physical therapy, gerontology, etc etc] and the 12 person search committee that selected me after an oral panel where I was the only candidate that rec’d a 1 from everyone on the panel…all had phds…..most were women….you are neither. The women on this site are grown-ups they can read what they care to. If someone posts outrageously incorrect info, ie on JFK re Vietnam and incorrectly attributes that horror story to him they will have the facts presented. “maybe Dr. Klein has an opening.’ that’s laughable on so many counts and esp after seeing “him’ on youtube….I can see why the dates come from Craigslist erotic services….

The You Tube embed linked to CBS taped Walter Cronkite with JFK on Vietnam including with the numbers of dead and the date of the interview date stamped. Wikipeida links to major sources to save people time finding them their selves but they can check the links and the sources. If anyone is too uninformed to know that the Vietnam started under Eisenhower as a diect result of the 1956 Geneva Convention what can I say, check facts before making snide false statements. Frances’ comment wasn’t clever, it was wrong. So yeah, countering a factually wrong comment with Walter Cronkite/CBS News—-gee, how can we believe that? Mark Klein—-law enforcement is watching you—hate crimes—and am also collecting everything you write for license board complaint. And Here’s YOUR post on YOUR blog in praise of YouTube: http://drmarkklein.blogspot.com/2006/08/thank-you-youtube.html for license censure, if not more.

What are you reading that you really love?

Michael……OMG….Thanks for the HUGE laugh re Frank.. And I’m with you, love Jane Fonda and she was still hot in Monster-in-Law….very funny.

What are you reading that you really love?

Cynthia, Thank you I did read it. Was fortunately to have been a library docent at the Huntington Library in San Marino. We bibliophiles went on an Umberto Eco and magic realists bender that went on for a year. BTW PEN has great author online talks. http://www.pen.org And the site in general is a tremendous resource for writers/bibliophiles with a political/social conscious. For the 400 year anniversary of Cervantes’ Don Quixote there was an audio conversation with great writers people like Bernard Henri Levi, France’s celeb author who is featured this weekend in conversation with Mia Farrow on Darfur. The Huntington Library—not to be missed if in/near Pasadena, California (near the Rose Bowl, Norton Simon Museum, The Gamble House) http://www.huntington.org/

Bluecrawfish/Kristi. Thankfully there are GENTLEMEN here who bring something to the table and who are our friends like Frank, Dan, Michael, Brad, and the man with the cool antique roadster logo whose name can’t remember at the moment, et al. Thanks wOw. Am down in Shell Beach for a long weekend and tell every woman I meet to check out wOw. And am surprised when they haven’t heard of it. Graydon Carter [Exec Editor Vanity Fair Magazine] needs to do an article…. The question of the week I propose is, “What does a Saturday AM stroll in your neighborhood look like? Am interested in where and how people live. Thanks.

What are you reading that you really love?

Phyllis, Thank you for adding that. To me Millay is a huge hero in so many ways. She stayed true to herself from a very young age.

What are you reading that you really love?

MaryPage—-SAVAGE BEAUTY is one of my favorite books. Loved that Millay was so brave that she would speak out on war, putting herself in danger of financial ruin to do so, and go against some of the most influential men in the US at the time like Charles Lindberg. She was an amazing person. At Vassar Jackie Bouvier [Kennedy] won the Edna St. Vincent Millay prize for literature and for the rest of her life kept it in a special place in her bedroom. The one error I think Millay made was letting her editor change her Renaissance to the English spelling. Just think how many more google hits she’d get today with the original.

Yes McGin-Klein…try a different ‘question’….

wOw's Views on the News: Rupert Murdoch Bids $580M for Newsday

Mark Klein/McGinnis—Gee that’s quite a disproportionate rant there relative to the remark. Touchy? Hit a nerve? “Now I’m engaged in a battle with a bunch of Marxists who really need to get a life. It was fun messing with your heads, but wow, you all really need some help! DR. McGinnis” Marxists? Fun messing with your heads? Grassy Knoll. You know Klein, maybe the others are that gullible….but those are psy. reframing/demonizing ploys…..no one engaged YOU, you engaged….so you know, if the “Grassy Knoll Marxists” are distrubing you…..go back to drudge. “Fun messing with your heads” Gee, that sounds like every female pHd I know. NOT. What it sounds like is our very own home grown nut. Mark “Gotta have Craigslist erotica” Klein. A lot of people in Oakland where you practiced think you are the one who needs to get help.

Frances—perhaps since you know so much about war and are so diplomatic about stating your opinions you’ll want to retract that rather nasty barb about JFK esculating Vietnam….he didn’t…and it certaintly didn’t have anything to do with “French Enlightenment Values” or his being Catholic. That war began with the 1956 Geneva Convention and we were all ready there in 1960 when JFK took office, as advisors, and 82 troops had died from when eisenhower sent them in to the time of JFK’s killing. LBJ esculated the war. I happen to think you and Ginny are quite nasty…so you know…everyone has their own opinions…and as far as you being in the entertainment biz etc…..I made a 20 year career of being placed in charge of massive projects all over the US because I could deal with project teams of 100+ people etc….so whatever. Skip my posts is my advice to you.
