How long was Obama a grassroots organizer in Chicago…about 3 years? He was mediocre at best… Seemingly, the only one that was mesmerized by his grass-root efforts was starry eyed Michelle. He joined a very progressive church in terms of outreach programs…he knew being associated with Reverend Wright would give him street credibility which is important to blacks in that area if you are going to run for office. There is no way that I can be convinced that as ardent as Wright is about race issues that Obama never heard his rants. Oprah and Steadman belonged to the same church but as her star begin to rise she split. There are churches on nearly every corner in Chicago and megachurches galore. There was no reason to stay there except that he liked the sermons and the fellowship with other liked minds. Reverend Clay Evans a civil right supporter of Dr MLK stood up for King against the Daly machine…he could have fellowship at Fellowship Baptist Church …This man isn’t progressive…he’s hungry for recognition… Obama hasn’t used his popularity to reach out to local activist and city politicians and the supertindent of schools to find solutions to what ills Chicago. It doesn’t matter the size of the city he comes from when he doesn’t manage the city’s budget or infrastructure. For those who have dranked the kool-aid, the southside of Chicago is not a ghetto of downtrodden Negroes! Hyde Park and Pill Hill are affluent neighborhoods on the southside…there are the poor, blue collar workers and professionals that resides in that part of Chicago, so don’t get it twisted.

Unfortunately a black man could not serve under Patton! I believe that Obama filters his ideas and assessment of the world through white privilege. His grandmother used inflammatory language towards blacks. If his granddaddy was such a patriot why wasn’t Obama encourage to serve in ROTC or the National Guards. As far as I’m concern he knows little about black folks struggles. Just because Michelle introduced him to collard greens and Motown doesn’t get my vote!

I wish you so called progressive women would stop fantasizing about Obama! He has no experience to speak of the man is packing a king-size ego! He won Illinois senate seat by default. What has he accomplished? There are many minorities with ivy league education with vitaes that show tangible achievements. Obama lives on the southside of Chicago and to get to his home he pass through neighborhoods undergoing gentrification…some are losing houses due to the subprime horror…black males are killing one another on a daily basis…the public school is in peril…so what has Obama done for Chicagoans lately? If he had been engaged in the senate perhaps money could have been earmark to improve the schools…and to get more law enforcement on the streets. I will unapologetically cast my ballopt for Cynthia McKinney at least she tried to expose the Bush Administration…she went after Rumsfield and Cheney but you pathetic liberal women never gave her an ounce of support! The only folks worse than liberal white women are KKKs!

Obama is like Tony Robbins a dynamic speaker but he hasn’t sold me otherwise. Maybe because I’ve grown jaded on mack daddies. Obama won the Illinois senate seat by default. Although Obama is well-educated, hasn’t accomplished much as a senator. Eons ago, Barbara Procter who started her own marketing firm in Chicago received the business award of the year. As reported in the Chicago Trib, in her address she referred to the black business men in Chicago as mister kick. Because they didn’t reach out to help her instead they kicked to keep her down. Is that what we’re doing to Governor Palin? I have worked with some very young enterprising women who had vision, skills and support of their colleagues to be in upper management but weren’t a part of the the good ole girls club… but those that were well-connected were allow to rise to their highest level of incompetency! In fairness to all, neither Obama or Governor Palin have foreign affairs experience. No one has nominated Biden to become president but we know the real deal. Cheney was running the Bush Administration and if elected Biden will be running stuff, too. And ivy league educations are overrated…folks from so-called third rated schools don’t get the chance to run Enron…WorldCom …General Motors, IndyMac, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and a bunch of others into the ground!
