I’m in my mid 50s and my hair is platinum gray. While at the beauty salon the other day, the stylist working next to me complimented me on my hair color. My husband of 35 years is perfectly fine with my decision to remain au natural. Why women go through so much effort and expense makes me scratch my head, while men keep their money in their wallets and enjoy additional free time. Why women choose to have hair dey routinely absorbed into their bodies is another matter I question. Best wishes for a delightful Independence Day weekend everyone.

Any racial comments I hear are expressed by Obama , his supporters, and the media. I’ve yet to be convinced that he’s the best qualified individual to serve at the helm, particularly considering his prior work experience and accomplishments to date. This is no time for a popularity contest.

Consider this possibility: Oprah + Maria + Caroline = the beginning of Barack Obama’s candidacy. These individuals have necessary funds and political influence to make things happen behind the scenes in the Democractic Party.

The door swings both ways. She must have contributed to the break down of her marriages on some level. I feel for her children most of all. It’s a shame that the divorce proceedings will not be private.

Hillary supporters should vote for McCain and leave “Post-its” with Hillary’s name on them in the voting booths. “Post-its” for Hillary, from sea to shining sea, on election night.

The rainbows were a double exclamation point on a life well lived. WowOwow!!

“The View” has not been fair and balanced concerning the current presidential election. The ladies practically fell all over Senator Obama when he visited a month or so ago. Senator Clinton never had a chance. I personally appreciate Ms. Goldberg’s and Ms. Hasselbeck’s respective contributions to the program. Honesty is hard to come by these days.

Sunday mornings in our home begins with Dr. Charles Stanley (First Baptist Atlanta), followed by Mr. Chris Matthews (“The Chris Matthews Show”), followed by Mr. Tim Russert (“Meet the Press”), followed by Mr. Wolf Blitzer (“The Situation Room”). These programs, coupled with a hearty breakfast and the morning newspaper, routinely give us a great start to our Sunday. The loss of Mr. Russert on “Meet the Press” will leave a void for a long time to come. Learning about his warm personal side makes the void even deeper.

Exactly my point. If Senators Obama and McCain, respectively, were comfortable in their own suits, they wouldn’t need the “Kennedy”, “Reagan”, or other mystique to win votes. Enough already. It’s time for this country to move on.

If Michelle Obama normally dresses like Jacqueline Kennedy, that’s fine. If the Obama campaign is transforming her into someone she’s not, that’s phony. We want to know the real Michelle, whatever her personal style. (She looks attractive in dresses and pearls in any case.) Why this fascination with the Kennedys?

Following a well deserved respite, Senator Clinton should focus on her own career. She won more swing states and more votes cast. Wouldn’t it have been something if he, in behalf of his grandmothers, mother, sister(s), wife, and daughters, had graciously stepped aside to let her be the first ever female Democratic candidate nominee. THAT would have been REAL change!

Dear Renata, While I remain a Senator Clinton supporter, I look forward in the months ahead to learn more about Senators McCain and Obama; specifically, what each will do for me, for all of us, and for the U.S.A. Naturally, the media and pundits will have to cooperate in this effort by spending their time foccusing on FACTS and not cheerleading for a specific candidate. In the end, should neither candidate win my vote, I will simply write in Senator Clinton’s name in the general election.

Sorry, you can’t have it both ways. If the Obama camp wants Senator Clinton’s supporters to join the fold, it would be prudent of him to ask her to be his VP. ALL supporters must move away from the table satisfied.

Senator Obama often says, “This is our moment.” Well, Tuesday night was Senator Clinton’s “moment”. She, too, earned it. One has to wonder why CNN, NBC/MSNBC and other media continue to focus on Senator Clinton? Isn’t it time they focus on the presumptive Democratic candidate for President?

Why should Senator Clinton lift one finger to help Senator Obama? He has necessary funds, the majority of the delegates, the Democratic Party, CNN, NBC/MSNBC, other media on his side. Perhaps working together, they can win the support of the hispanics, the bitter, cling-to-their-guns-and-church, lunchpale democrats. The Clintons should take a long, well-earned vacation. You did great, Senator Clinton. Many of us are so proud of you, and thank you.
