California and Washintons Olympic peninsula has some awfully wonderous spots to get to before the hordes arrive! I had some fantastic times riding bike down 101 from Carlsbad to LaJolla in the late 70’s then returned in the late 80’s and was saddened by the massive over development, Still I think Newport and South from there is a wonderous place too be. Coulters public presence makes her statements accesable to minds and actions that cannot be deemed her responsibility! There have been plenty of suggestions from some that OBAMA could or should be a target. The deregulation by the media, or the lack opf self regulation by some of them have made it much easier for persuasive sharks to influence the masses! The critical mind is sometimes criminal and humans are often looking for an object or a person to vent upon. I wish I had emperical data or sources to cite but alas I have only anecdotal experience to reference here. I have mentioned on another occasion my experience with the whole Don Imus dust up. His derogatory comments regarding the Riutgers hoops team and the whole frey! Many months later I was driving along and was abruptly cut off in trafic by an AfAm woman driving along. The immediate response from my mouth was the very derogatory statement made popular by Don Imus! Now I was immediately apalled by my racist utterance, but more to the point I was made acutely aware of thte power of the repertative news loop in our very confrontational and often hateful society. We havew got to know that there is a reason George Carlin wrote the skit about seven dirty words. And wehave got to admit that there is a reason that writing of making threats upon the life of many public figures is illlegal. There are / is someone out there who will respond to it. Limpbaugh made some crack about assasonating Obama, some fool broadcaster at a McCain rally made a similar comment. Hillary referred to the POSSIBILITY and the history of such acts in our society. Yes Frannnie I would submit htat Coulter is . while not certified lunatic, has some influence and should temper her suggestions!!!!! Manson? perhaps not , but there is too much junk media and name calling by sophmoric pundits and celebrants that is no longer being moderated . Come to the blog! Kitti> Hi! and of course all of you’se WOWers. I have been really luckyin life and as a parent . My three daughters though still young are remarkably different. Each individual has her own interessts and awareness. To blame a movie is rediculous I would suggest that the Madison avenue reach into the general conciousness could be reasonably responsible. My girls are academically successful, talented athletes, and socially comfortable. My youngest girl gives me pause though as she is very confident and yet a bit curious about the pop culture in ways my other girls didn’t gravitate to. Her comfortability with the “brazen boys” is the test. She’s still grossed out by the thought of kissing them but I expect that to change soon. The older sisters remain so busy most of the time that their girlfriends are their primary interest. and ALCOHOL hasn’t played too big a part in their lives yet. I haven’t allowed my own history to interfere with my expectations though Pregnancy happens! Like so many things HUMAN it’s not always so surprising that they happen, but more surprising that they don’t occur more often!

I acquired an entire roll of the large type bubble wrap once! I used it for my daughters 6th birthday party! WHAT A HOOT!!! The red carpet treatment as all the guests arrived, Party favor bags made by sttapling together the wrap,. Everything was bubbles! Rented bubble machine, bubble gum and blowing contest! The best part was the bubble wrap dress I made for my nieghbor on her husbands 50th Birthday around the same time. Truly the children had the party of a life time. It was loud as you may guess even the table cloth was bubble wrap. There was no word about the effect of the bubble wrap dress however! So sorry if I confused the issues herre. There was no association between The children and the neighbors parties!!!!:)))))
