In a book long lost called "Shifting Gears" (what we all have to do from time to time and what the country is going through now collectively..) there is a chapter called Creative Daydreaming….I trust I can fish it out from somewhere…I don’t want to lay myself open for accusations of "junk science" but there is a whole school of thought that acknowledges right and left leaning brains are….wait for it…….WIRED DIFFERENTLY…what a concept….dreamers vs. dreambashers….."Bless their little hearts, they can’t help it…they’re wired funny….I mean funny-peculiar, not funny-ha-ha…."

If you want some real giggles, go to C-spans scheduling pages and see if you can find the Radio and TV reporters dinner speech by Obama….He’s been roundly trounced for it which means it was wonderfully funny, don’t you know…….and they say feminists have no sense of humor….. 

I wanted to spend the whole weekend on the organic garden thread and may still get there…even food is controversial…but I am borderline rabid on that topic…(tummy growls for emphasis..)

Nini, Nonnie, Buffy and Peachy have theirs…..I’m all over this, Maggie….screenprinters working 24/7 at my offshore facility… red hot needle and a burning thread at the factory….Seriously, and on topic, thank you very much, I do use food on my face….glob of Pond’s cold cream or other heavy-bodied goo, in my palm with a generous shake of uncooked grits…any kind….stir in palm w/ungooed finger and use for exfoliating scrubby-dubby…wipe off and leave a light film if you want to…or soap and water it away….grits have a way of finding a hiding place in one’s ears…..

Thanks for pointing out this thread…..I like these homegrown lotions and potions…someone mentioned "age-defying" something…..When my mom was in her mid-nineties, we were on one of her famous command performance runs at the monster drugstore (cosmetics,etc…) chain in her neighborhood….She wanted Pond’s facial scrub pads….a refill pack for the box she had for years….There was quite an array of options…oily, dry, acne, extra this and that and "age-defying"…..She leaned over to read the name tag on the salesgirl’s bosom and said, "Oh, Whitney, honey, I’ve been there done that…" 

OK, SG…me, too. I am more interested in the process of dialogue than in the win/lose/last word stance..The endless cut and paste documentation proves nothing…The devil can cite scripture for his purpose….and each "side" has a bunch of statistic-spouting "devils"….Worthless space-taking..Just ratchets up the rant..Not only do the clearly provocative or controversial threads turn into a jabfest…but many apparently innocuous topics get highjacked because they are "not worthy" of lofty (politically rowdy) discussion….and turn to ****, too….It is a MILITANT Unwillingness on both sides to work at finding occasional common ground…no matter how shaky that ground might be…I am not looking for unanimity…simple decency would go a long way in my book….It’s a shame, it’s a shame. it’s a cryin’ shame…… I’m thinking about the "visual" of "left-leaning…right-leaning"…..

Think about it….if I am perpetually left or right leaning, it’s gonna be damned nigh impossible for me to be "forward-leaning.."
