Olbermann Survives 'The View'

I can’t believe Olbermann didn’t vote. I agree with Joy, he’s a bad role model. I am a fan of the view, watch it everyday. I don’t get all my news from the show but I just love Whoopi, Joy, Barbara and Sherri. Now Elisabeth I don’t like, she can never admit she’s wrong.

Cockapoo: The Perfect Pooch for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

It would be nice if the Obama’s could get a dog from a shelter. Heaven knows, there a millions of dogs that need a good home. Maybe there will be a puppy, in a shelter, that will work with the allergies Malia has. So shelters, across the land, look at your residents. If you find one that will work, get in touch with the Obama’s and let them know. Nothing like bragging that America’s first dog came from your shelter!

Liz Peek: We're All on a Tight Budget, Even Obama

We are going to budget. With 10 grandkids and 4 children with their better half’s we can’t afford to go all out. My husband said, “Everyone get’s a $25.00 gift card from Walmart. We are going to love everyone the same and we can only put a $25.00 limit on that love!” I think it will work out ok. It’s easier to mail a gift card then presents. Heck, sometimes I was paying more for mailing items then the items themselves. Also, family can go to Wally World and buy what THEY want, not what I think they should have.

What Kind of First Lady Will Michelle Obama Be?

Somehow I thought of her as a Jackie Kennedy but now I think she’ll be more like a Princess Di. Don’t ask me why, it’s just how I see her. No matter what, I think she will be a awesome first lady. She will be a great example for all moms with young children

Sarah Palin to Open Up to Greta van Susteren of FOX (Video)

Just so you know, I posted that e mail because I was proud. I was proud of the fact that history was made. I had just came home from the convention center where all the volunteers saw history being made when Barack was elected the next president. It was not vanity in any way shape or form of the word. I was so happy that I was part of his being elected. Never have I put so much into an election as I did this one. Proud of Obama for being elected. Proud that I was part of that process. Proud to receive a mass produced generated email. Proud to share the victory with my fellow WowOWow readers. Proud to be an American. Proud that some states that usually vote Rep now voted Dem. Proud that closed minded people were a minority. Proud that the unthinkable was not only thinkable but became a reality No I don’t think I’m important. No I’m not the center of attention. If you knew me you would know that I am the last person to put any kind of importance on me. So, call it what you will. I can take the heat. But let me be perfectly clear, vanity has nothing to do with it. I was just happy, proud and excited when I posted that email. I’m sorry for you if you can’t understand that!

As far as the e mail I got from Obama I don’t see a e mail you received from McCain. At least I worked my butt off for someone I believe in. You must not have believed in McCain/Palin ticket as much as I did Obama/Biden otherwise you’d be posting something like I did. Oh and I know it was a mass e mail sent to all the volunteers, and if someone called and said he was Obama I wouldn’t believe that either. Not like Palin thinking she got a call from the President of France…..duh!

You and that other person OMGIamgoingnuts need to get together and join a We Love Sarah Palin club. I have my opinion which is right and you have yours no matter how misguided. Peace!

It’s not just her LACK OF KNOWLEDGE that had me upset. It was her personality. She is just a regular Joe, a hockey mom, (which she has stated many times over), that I didn’t like. I’m sure she’s a great person, but I don’t want a hockey mom or a regular Joe as a VP. I don’t want someone winking, and shooting people with imaginary guns. Biden at least looks and acts more mature and more like a VP than Sarah could ever hope. Anyway, for someone to run for office, you need to be ready to stand the heat or you need to stay out of the kitchen.

You know I don’t care if people think I’m a ditz. However I have enough brains to know that I shouldn’t run as vice president of the united states. Give me a break, if she had been allowed to have more interviews with the media, we would have more ammo against Palin. I still believe that if McCain had picked another running mate, Obama may not have had as easy a time getting elected. Don’t get me wrong, Obama was my choice. I was glad that McCain chose Palin. I knew from the beginning that it was a mistake. It was confirmed when they had the VP debate. The media had nothing to do with it. I watched her, and everytime she winked, and metioned hockey mom or Joe six pack it made me sick. It was her. She maybe someone nice to sit and talk to, someone nice to have on your bowling league, hell even a mayor but a VP? The answer is NO! Not only NO but HELL NO! She was not ready as you stated above. She could have turned McCain down especially after everytime she opened her mouth, she put her foot in it. Sorry to say, but she is a “ditz”, no hate intended. It’s the truth and I stand my my opinion and apparently, I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Oh, you guys just aren’t right! Everyone here is a bunch of “stinkers.” NOT! Give me a break, I’m so happy that she was not elected vice-president. What an ditz.

Gay-Rights Supporters Swarm Mormon Church in Proposition 8 Protest (Video)

I believe in gay marriage. If two people love each other and want to make a commitment to one another, let them. Heck, they are not hurting anyone. Gays should be allowed to adopt also. With all the children who need homes you should not cut off a good home for them because the parent’s happen to be gay. America, wake up! Obama is about change. Let’s really change and be open to new ideas. Like I stated before, we took 3 steps forward by electing Barack but then was hit in the stomach and knocked 5 steps back with Prop.8.

With More Bad Economic News, Can Obama's Economic Team Help?

We just have to remember that Obama won’t take office unil January. What I would like to see is Obama take over before January so he can start working to fix this mess. I just have no faith in Bush. It’s going to be a long wait until Obama gets into the oval office. I just hope that things don’t get much worse before Barack can roll up his sleeves and dive into the problems and start to work on the problems at hand.

Are you a little miffed that the Obama family isn't getting a kitty-cat?

I have 2 dogs. I hope the Obama’s find a dog that will work well with the girls and the White House.

California, Arizona, Florida Approve Gay-Marriage Bans

How is it we can take a giant leap forward by electing Obama and then get knocked so far back with this. I believe in gay marriage. I think gay couples should be able to adopt because there are so many children who need good homes. I believe that prostitution should be legalized. There are way too many other crimes that need attention. Focus on the important issues. I believe in abortion. How in the world are you going to ask a woman who was raped or a child who was molested to carry a child for 9 months and have the daily reminder of what is probably the worse day of their life. Insane! I believe in physician assisted suicide. It should be a personal choice. How can we know when a person has suffered enough. In college I wrote a paper on this subject. I read a piece where a man who was suffering from cancer. He was in constant pain. The cost of medical was beyond belief and this man would never be cured. He made a powerful statement, he said, “If you don’t believe in assisted suicide, don’t do it. But don’t tell me I can’t.” Dang I feel empowered today!

What are you doing this morning?

I’ve posted this under Whoopi’s comment but I wanted to share this with you. When I got home I checked my e-mail and this was posted in my in box. Joan — I’m about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first. We just made history. And I don’t want you to forget how we did it. You made history every single day during this campaign — every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it’s time for change. I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign. We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I’ll be in touch soon about what comes next. But I want to be very clear about one thing… All of this happened because of you. Thank you, Barack Needless to say I am looking forward to Obama contacting me and letting me know what’s next and how I can continue to help. I just hope the rest of America feel’s the same way.
