Tom Brokaw: It Makes Feminists Crazy, but Palin Is a Tribute to Women's Movement

Hi My Alias — You are so blind. You fit the exact profile that K. Rove was aiming for when he forced Palin on the GOP ticket: a former Hillary supporter who will vote for any candidate with a vagina! Hopefully, one day you will be ashamed that you served as a willing puppet for Rove. Palin is not a tribute, and believe me, if McCain/Palin were to win (GAG), she would be completely relegated to a minor role — NO POWER! She would be allowed to be a spokesperson for “special needs” children, and trotted out at fundraisers, since she gets so much attention. But she would never be allowed to exert any influence — her role would be over the moment the polls close!

Tom Brokaw: It Makes Feminists Crazy, but Palin Is a Tribute to Women's Movement

Hi C (Mrs) Hardy. Well, one of the many problems with Sassy Sarah is that she thinks she is ready NOW, when she obviously is not! Because she cannot see how completely unfit she is to be POTUS now, she lacks the type of judgment. insight, self-knowledge, etc., and more “experience” cannot give her those qualities. She is 41, a mother, but lacks sound judgment on many, many matters, which have been aired on this site. Given her lack of judgment, a crash course in foreign affiairs, for example, just is not enough. And she thinks she IS ready, and sees no reason to learn anything, or gain any additional experience. Learn? BOOOOORRR-IIIINNNNGGG!! She would rather spend her time attending rallies where she will be the center of attention.

Sarah Palin for President in 2012?

Hi Marjorie — Well, another former HRC supporter is throwing her under a bus for White Trash Sarah — a woman who does not support any thing Hillary stood for! So full of integrity — NOT!

Sarah Palin for President in 2012?

Hi now C Hardy (formerly CO)— Congratulations on your wedding! And congratulations to Mr. Hardy!

Sarah Palin for President in 2012?

Fred — you are confusing an Egomaniac with a big mouth with a Strong Woman. Not the same! GObama!

Sarah Palin for President in 2012?

Hi Star — Here’s a switch—I’m defending HRC to you! I don’t know what you find “expedient” — that she is stumping for the Democratic candidate? That is the process! If that sounds “high minded,” I assure you it is purely pragmatic for HRC, maybe even necessary for her political future! Why should HRC campaign for Obama? There are 2 good reasons. 1st — Obama is a great candidate (and likely to win). And your belief notwithstanding, he did not commit an unforgivable sin against women by winning the nomination, and at some level HRC knows it. You and other HRC supporters have convinced yourselves that Obama’s alleged “sexism” forfeits her support. Well, obviously, the alleged Victim (HRC) disagrees, so there was nothing to those charges to begin with. 2nd, HRC has not sold out, she is being true to herself, which is a politician. 2008 is just one election cycle — should HRC throw away everything she has worked for by being the quintessential “sore loser” and not supporting Obama, just to placate “supporters” like you? If she sat this election out, that may earn her the approval of you and others, but a politician cannot win election with “warm, fuzzy feelings.” To do that, HRC needs political capital and you have to let her build hers up again! GObama!

Cindy McCain's Press Secretary Says: 'I've Never Seen Someone So Maligned'

Hi Carol Perhaps Cindy winds her hair a little Too tightly! GOBama!

Cindy McCain's Press Secretary Says: 'I've Never Seen Someone So Maligned'

No — needed my beauty sleep! And didn’t want to see him on it anyway, after he started running those horrible Wright ads.

Cindy McCain's Press Secretary Says: 'I've Never Seen Someone So Maligned'

Hi Tee Zee — Thanks for providing this article! The Spalinists who claim the “feminist highground” truly are surreal, but are too infuriating for laughs. Hopefully I’ll laugh after Tuesday! GObama!

Cindy McCain's Press Secretary Says: 'I've Never Seen Someone So Maligned'

Hi DeB — Glad to see you are as feisty as ever! And I agree with you, appearances DO matter and a Press Secretary, of all people, should understand that! Cindy McCain should appreciate the fact that her image problem is largely of her own making. This is precisely why people in the public eye (politicians, newscasters, etc)., hire consultants to tell them how the public responds to them, and how they can change it! Whether the Marjories of the world like it or not, to a large segment of the population, she comes across exactly as you depict her. To me she is nothing but a Mannequin — arm candy for the Old Warrior.

Hi My Alias — “McCain can weather the 4 years … ” But the country can’t! Give us a break! Do you want a more conservative Supreme Court that much? Do you want endless war, or to end this war? And on and on and on … Also “Aint NO One Gonna control Mr. McCain.” LOL — McCain couldn’t even select his OWN CHOICE for V.P.(Lieberman!) He CAVED IN to the Conservatives in the Party! IN SHORTTHE CONSERVATIVES PULLED THE STRINGS ON THAT ONE AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO!

Hi Sibelle — Hey — what do you think about Bush and his Treasurer partially nationalizing some of our largest banks? And AIG? Don’t you think that’s a bit more radical (i.e., SOCIALISTIC) than the idea of taxing the rich at a higher rate than the poor? The idea of a graduated income tax has only been around since — 1918? Earlier? Where have you been?

wowOwow Live Reader Forum - Presidential Debate #3

Lady Gator — Nobody at this Site is buying for a minute that you are afraid of Anything! LOL! As for Joe WANNABEPLUMBER — he is NOT a plumber, and according to news reports, he may not have much to fear about the government taking his $ as taxes because the State of Ohio claims he owes about $1200 in back taxes!!! Maybe you did not see the interview with Sam “Call me JOE THE WANNABEPLUMBER” today on Good Morning America — he disagrees with taxing people with incomes of $1 million or $5 million at a higher rate than those making poverty-line wages! NOT FAIR! he says! No wonder McCain loves the WANNABEPLUMBER! And Here’s a News FLASH: It’s elementary that many social programs are funded by taxes from those with a greater capacity to pay (in the case of income taxes) or other taxes/fees, etc., to fund social programs for the good of society and, in many cases, those LESS FORTUNATE THAN OTHERS. Such as using tax revenues for public health clinics for the indigent, or subsidized housing for the indigent, as just 2 examples. If you and JoeWBP have a problem with that, I think that sounds heartless.

Hi My Alias — What about Shameless Sarah (a/k/a White Trash Sarah) who tells supporters at rallies that Obama is “Dangerous???” And “Pals around with terrorists?” Is this not fear-mongering? Did that get your dander up? Maybe I missed the outraged comments you posted about them. Don’t know where you were when Bush was in the Rose Garden shamelessly using fear mongering and talks of “catastrophe” and similar phrases when he was trying to rally his rebellious GOP troops in the House to go along with his $700 billion dollar bailout package. He is still POTUS (gag!), and he was talking about a financial “disaster,” etc., if the bill did not get passed. How NOT presidential, but then, what do we expect from the Worst President Ever????

Please — In no way did I suggest that you cease participating in our dialogue. However, it is liberating for me to realize that a dialogue with you on the issue of the candidates is irrelevant because your vote won’t count. Suddenly your obstinacy is not so aggravating! But that doesn’t mean I won’t continue to offer my 2 cents — I know myself too well for that!
