RNC wowOwow Reader Forum: UPDATED 6:30 PM

As a matter of fact, John McCain is and always has been against the torture of any enemy combatants by the U.S. This has been one issue in which he is in disagreement with his party.

Sheila Nevins: Why Palin Is a Great Choice

For all of the know-it-all, self-proclaimed experts on this site all I can say is this… Keep spewing your vitriol for the Republican ticket and continue singing all praises for the Dems… In November, my vote counts just as much as yours does and that is the rare beauty of this genius system.

Julia Reed Asks: Where's Obama in This Convention?

I thought you were checking out to do something “more productive.” Give us a break and do so. Your posts are painfully close to creating a personal blog here. Your hostility toward any attitude or opinions to the contrary of yours is unbecoming.

Who gets your vote for the veep spot on the McCain ticket?

Ha ha ha. Team Obama on Wow— show a little class. Can we have a serious thread about McCain, or do we have to put up with your shenanigans every time his name is mentioned. I thought this was a grown-up site where we could actually discuss politics intelligently, and without total disrespect to the opposition. I guess not.

Who's Really Dishing the John Edwards Dirt?

I, too, am angry with him about his affair. But I am tired of our obsession with sex. Our phony moralism.” Phony moralism, us? The only phony moralist in this whole episode is JE himself. He is the one who used all these issues as a hammer over the electorate throughout the primaries. He is the one who, conveniently, recently pulled the plug on his program to encourage low income HS students to stay in school and aim for college. (I suppose it no longer was of benefit to him or his advancement.) All of these issues were mere props to him. They were the basis for his candidacy, but what he ever did to realize results is a mystery to me. I suppose his disposable income now goes toward hush money and a few extra mortgages in California.

The Idea That John Edwards Had a Shot at Being President Makes Me Sick

Thank you, Julia Reed. I, too, am so sick of the comparison to France, whenever the topic of marital infidelity is raised. Why do Americans love to see themselves as socially unenlightened neanderthals because we have a care about the issue and don’t want our public figures chasing skirt like alley cats. I, for one, only want to use France as a role model in one area - and that would be in their use of nuclear power. Oh, yes, and I like their cheese.

Caroline Kennedy's Move Into Public Life

OMG - give this topic a rest! The ONLY thing that distinguishes her is her pedigree. Oh, I know, she is an attorney, a published author and all that. Those credentials in and of themselves wouldn’t mean a thing if not for her bloodline.

Do you worry about presidential hopeful John McCain's age?

I worry alot more about Barack Obama’s lack of experience than I worry about John McCain’s age.

The Best Tech in Life Is Free (or Really, Really Cheap)

Skype is great for certain uses, but I would never get rid of a land line and depend on Skype exclusively. To rely on an internet connection and electricity in the event of an emergency seems foolhardy.

Vanity Fair Fans the Kerfuffle at The New Yorker

All of this criticism of the Obama New Yorker cover is getting old. Don’t you think this current love-fest by the mainstream media surrounding Obama’s visit abroad more than makes up for a little satire? Quit your bellyachin and get on with the real issues of this campaign. If you can’t stand this heat…

Ann Coulter's Birthday Wish for Bush (and a Michael-Moore-Free Definition of Patriotism)

GT! YES! YES! YES! Different color, same stripe, these apoplectic people over Ann Coulter’s presence on this site!

Ann Coulter's Birthday Wish for Bush (and a Michael-Moore-Free Definition of Patriotism)

Lighten up, people! Yes, Ann Coulter is obnoxious and all that. So are lots of political personalities. If her words on this website is so abhorrent to you, don’t read them. I frequently bypass some of the writers on this site who will give me indigestion. It would never occur to me to call for their exclusion from this website. What country is this, anyway?
