Have a Glass of Wine – or Two – for a Better Sex Life!

Plenty of wine for your circulatory and digestive system. Plenty of sex to burn calories and maintain a sense of well being- who needs to worry about healthcare?

UPDATE: Rest in Peace Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Founder of Special Olympics

The epitome of leading life through spirit and not through ego. A remarkable woman who has helped a remarkable population of people with special needs.

Breakthrough Research Shows Stem Cell 'Daughters' to Blame for Aggressive Form of Breast Cancer

An odd way to dexcribe the cell- "daughters"? Maybe off-shoot or secondary to the luminal progenitor cell would connect better. Bottom line- is it a break through for prevention or individualized treatment?

Is getting your hair done a chore or a treat?

Used to be achore and costly, but thankfully my haordresser for 10 years moved to a less expensive salon, so I still go every 8 weeks for a cut and style. I do my own coloring now.. SO much cheaper and it looks fine. Now as I get older, I, too, am less focused on my ego and more focused on my spirit.

Trader Vic's, Horn & Hardart, Schrafft's … What now-extinct food establishment still tugs at your memory?

Belinda,

I used to ride my bike to a Woolworth’s in our small Ohio town and loved having a chocolate soda. This was in the 60s, so after having a soda, my girlfirends and I would also buy angora yarn to wrap our boyfriends’ rings so we could wear them. I bought "Twiggy" ( the british model) false eyelashes and Slicker lipgloss, too. I thought I was something! Anyone else remember those items? They went with the white Go-Go boots.

How generous are you with your own possessions when it comes to your family?

I would give the shirt off my back for family and close friends, freely with no strings attached. That’s what genuine love is all about! It’s not just giving of material things, but giving of time, compassion, and support. I’ve been blessed to have family and friends feel and show the same care and love for me as well.

In which decade of your life did you feel your prettiest?

Late 40s and early 50s I felt the greatest and it showed. Now in my latter 5os, things are starting to shift, droop, etc. no matter what I do diet, exercise wise. Oh well. It was bound to happen sooner or later.. I’m healthy, happy, and feeling very content. Hey could be worse. I still count my blessings everyday no matter how I look. It’s my spirit that counts.

How important is sexual fulfillment to your overall happiness?

There’s sex and then there’s making love. Making love, whatever that involves for you and your partner is the true fulfilment.

What are the top three subjects you talk about with your best girlfriends?

Family, fun, trials and tribulations. Most importantly, no matter what’s going on in our lives, we LAUGH!!!

Moms Battle for Right to Breast-Feed in Public. Tell Us What You Think

We are a country with so many hang-ups over the most natural things. My son was in japan years ago, and at a public beach, the children ran around naked, people changed into their suits out in the open for all to see. No reaction- all very expected and natural. Not that we should go THAT far, but we do need to lighten up and quit finding "indecency" in natural behaviors such as breastfeeding.

Are you still a beach person? What beach phobias are you hiding?

I’m a beach "spectator", always have been. In other words, I love the sand, watching the water, the waves, the horizon, listening to seagulls, etc., but have never liked being in water where I can’t see the bottom. Give me a chlorine, clear, well dimensioned, evenly bottomed pool for swimming. I can’t stand having seaweed wrap around my ankles- gives me the willies!

Did you ever have to explain 'the birds and the bees' to your child or anyone else's? How did it go?

Cute story:

When my daughter was 4 she asked where babies come from. I explained that when married (setting the right scenario early), the husband gives his wife a magic seed, which lead to her question, "How?", so I replied he uses his magic wand, leading to babies grow in the wife’s magic bag in her tummy, completing with they come out of her magic hole. My daughter mulled this over a little and said, "When my husband wants to give me a magic seed, I’m going to say no thank you."

She is now 26, happily married, and hoping for the magic to begin.
