Ever hear of a “post turtle” ? In Texas when you see a turtle balanced on top of a fence post, you know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong there, he doesn’t know what to do while he is up there and you just wonder what kind of a jack ass put him up there in the first place. We may have a post turtle on our hands, draw your own conclusions.

Wish Mark would start his own web site, he could call it DE-Kleined, what do you think ? It’s a shame he doesn’t seek psychiatric care !

When I was growing up, I couldn’t wait until I could wear high heels, at 11 I got my first pair of ” squash heels” and over time my shoes got higher and higher heels. I LOVED them. I wish someone had told me that they would ruin my feet. When I went to work in my twenties I was in retail and wanted to look cute everyday. I had a different pair of shoes for every outfit. The mature women I worked with wore comfortable shoes, they didn’t care if they were cute or not. Now I am into comfortable too !!

I am beginning to understand the function of delegates and super delegates, they are meant to make the election go the way the party wants it to go. It’s not about the popular vote at all, which may be a good thing, hearing the reasons people are giving for voting or not voting for a candidate.

I am a breakfast person ! First thing my husband and I have a large mug of tea with milk and sugar ( I learned to drink it that way in England) we watch the morning shows while we gets ready for work. Weekdays I have Grapenuts for breakfast and mid morning I have yogurt. On weekends we have eggs,omelettes or traditional breakfast food and we eat on our patio.

I thought the dress looked good on Michelle. Jackie wore designer dresses that were very pricy, seems like apples and oranges to me. I need dresses with sleeves, I wonder why there are so many sleeveless dresses, when there are so many baby boomers.

I think it meant having choices and I think it still means having choices to do the things we want to do. I don’t think it means having all the material things you can dream of. I think it means finding a balance.

Always so sad when a death is sudden and unexpected. My heart goes out to his family. So glad Tim saw Luke graduate from college. It will seem odd not to see Tim Russert on Sunday mornings. Tim Russert and Peter Jennings will have much to talk about in heaven.

We go to farmer’s markets whenever we can. We grow some of our own veggies, we have space in our alley, we may have to dig up our thirsty, water using lawn and plant a veggie garden ! We try to eat as healthy as possible but it is difficult and expensive ! The price of fresh fish where we live requires a bank loan. I can remember the x-rays when I went to get new shoes,it’s unbelievable to me now. How about the car seats that used to fit over the front seat of your car ?

I love Mugsy’s wishes but would like to add a wish for no child abuse or hunger in the world.

The office I work in now is very casual so I do not wear hose. I wore hose for years with high heels, I ruined my feet so now I wear sandals or comfortable shoes. I agree that hose are dressy but the are unbearable in summer ! I attended an outdoor wedding two years ago in July and the temp. was well over 100. I knew I could not wear hose, so I put on faux tanning lotion, none of the other women wore hose. I wouldn’t mind wearing hose occasionally if someone would come up with a comfortable version. The panty part of pantyhose is awful.

Congratulations Michelle, the women of WOW like you because you have good fashion sense and a nice hair style.You may have your own opinions but you should keep them to yourself, at least until your husband is elected. We must be stuck in a time warp here, I thought this was 2008! So what you are saying is look pretty and be quiet ? At least the advice is more charitable than the advice to Cindy McCain.
