We may do some painting inside our home, yard work, visit my grandparents grave, have a cookout and go see Indiana Jones ! !Gas prices are at $3.94 today !

Two Words to Describe Ted Kennedy: Winner, Leader

Brad perhaps you and Mark Klein could start your own web site and call it IMOW (Inappropriate Men On Web)

Whoopi the Decoder Finds Out Why We Get 'Taxed up the Behind'

I think people feel powerless to change the system, where do you begin and can we really change it ? We can elect someone whom we think will make changes that will benefit us. Our senators seem to be hard pressed to solve the problem of gas prices while the oil co profits continue to rise. Do we have to wait for a new administration to solve all of our economic problems ? There are a lot of brillant minds out there, one would think someone would step up and present solutions. Guess that is not how the system works !

Would you feel safe with a woman as commander in chief? Why or why not?

I would feel safe, seems like an odd question to ask in 2008 ! Could she do any worse ?

Percentage of Voters Say They Would Never Vote for a Woman, Regardless of Qualifications

I have two more cents today, lol. Do you go to your doctor, dentist, lawyer, hairdresser or mechanic because you like them or you think they are the best in their field ? Isn’t it surprising that we are not looking for the best candidate we are looking for someone that we can like.

Percentage of Voters Say They Would Never Vote for a Woman, Regardless of Qualifications

We won’t know what a women will do unless we give one the chance. Why is it women are so hard on other women ? Why do we have to like her in order to elect her. On HRC’s worst day she would have to better than our current president. I’m not sure if Obama has all the right answers or he has all the answers we want to hear. He comes across well on TV, he speaks well, does he really have the experience needed for the job of president ? Mr. Klein isn’t this Women on The Web ?

wOw's Views on the News: Time to Lay Off Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain's Money?

All adults need to be accountable for their comments, especially those running for public office. I think Barack didn’t want Michelle’s comments to become an overblown issue that doesn’t really have anything to do with the problems we are facing as a country. The media wastes time on useless information, at the end of the day, does it really matter ? I am sick of this campaign, will be glad when it is over and we have a candidate. We should be focused on who is the most qualified person to run this country ! Why do we have such a long drawn out process ? It is such a waste of money !

Mary Wells: 'Birthdays Are Bad for Your Health'

My idea of beauty has changed over the years. When I was a small child I watched Lorretta Young on TV and thought she was beautiful. Mature women ( I hate the term “older” I always want to say older than what ?)have more depth to them, they are more interesting, more self assured. I have watched Marlo,Candice,Barbara Walters and Sally Field for years, I love to watch them as much or more now. Our society values flawless, young, perfect beauty, which isn’t realistic.I applaude Dove for using real women as models showing women that beauty doesn’t mean Hollywood glamour ! I worked with a young woman that thought anyone over 40 was ancient and I used to tell her someday she would be “old”. Sadly she died of colon cancer before she was 30. There are worse things than getting old. JB I love your attitude !

If you could live inside a movie, which would it be?

” Out of Africa” or ” Sense and Sensibility. “

What is your definition of retirement?

Retirement for me would be the life my tabby cat lives ! She eats, sleeps, plays at her convenience. She hides in the bushes when she needs solitude. She enjoys the garden/back yard in nice weather. When she wants company, she climbs in my lap or jumps on the bed,she has her own bed but naps wherever she desires. She never has a care in the world ! That would be a purrfect retirement to me !

What is your favorite possession?

I thought about my favorite possession all day yesterday, didn’t have a chance to answer. By the end of the day I had decided that I love many of my possessions, not for the item itself but for the memory of how I acquired it, the fun I had at an antique auction the joy of opening a gift that I received or combing a junk/antique shop for a treasure. The memories attached to my possessions are what make the item special for me.

Life in the Little Lane: Edith Ann on Childhood

Edith Ann, Little girls shouldn’t have to deal with stress, they should be carefree and enjoy being whatever age they are. I was in a big hurry to grow up, I didn’t appreciate my childhood. I wanted to grow up and wear high heels, lipstick and fancy hats. I wanted to smoke and drink cocktails ! I grew up really fast! Now I’m really grownup but I don’t wear high heels much, I never wear fancy hats,I do wear lipstick but I don’t smoke or drink cocktails. Milk and cookies are my favorite ! Do something fun everyday !

Have you turned into your mother? If so, how?

No, she was my mother but she was not maternal.Women in her day didn’t have the choices we have today.I don’t think she wanted to be a mother.I have tried to be a better mother to my children and grandchildren. I learned some things from her that were valuable & I am greatful for that.
