I don’t care how BIG you are, I refuse to be sporked!

Mr. wOw gives James Cameron's 3-D Movie 'Avatar' an F

I went to see Titanic six times, with six different people. When I bought a copy to sit and watch at home I could not complete the film anymore.

From the commercials for 2012, it seems like they are trying to get in the air to avoid what is happening - better to have the plane pull apart in in flight than remain on the ground? With the activity on the ground it seems the vibration would only intensify in the sky, and you would have wreckage falling from above. I will pay the ticket price to see what actually happens.

Something I have learned is when we leave our dreams and success in life to be validated by others, the continuance of the dream is contingent on the continual validation from outside of who we are. When we validate ours self from within, we than control the dream and longevity of the success in the choice of how we dream. A harder road than instant gratification, yet worth the patience in continual gratification of whom we have either chosen to be or path we have walked.

My brother is a retired exec, and very accomplished business man yet my largest critic and skeptic for a long time, to the point of nothing being said between us if not in general conversation. Through a course of events this last year, he has done a 360 as one of my biggest supporters. Offered to do what he can from the business sense to help me realize my dreams. A part of my own inner validation becoming an outer validation in the process of staying focused in who I am, regardless of opinions in this world and allowing and accepting assistance in an alignment, rather than molding in the views of others.

Thank you!

Dining room table? Fur coat? A new house? What was your first 'adult' purchase?

For myself, I am not sure what the first adult thing I bought was. I thrust myself into the "adult" world by taking off to the Rio Grande Valley with a friend and her kids at 14, with too much pride to call home and say this is not working out. Starved most days until I swallowed that pride and called for a ticket home, then I found out my dad had been sending money each week for food that I never saw. So I guess my first buy was a wake up call.

Remember when "My Three Son’s" was enough to represent a single parent of a large family? Not a reality show, but issues in life that most could relate to.. When my kids were growing up at times I felt lke a had Roseanne’s bunch under my roof. Shows which were not reality shows but you could grasp life regardless. This last week the real world was very evident with Fort Hood and other events, yet there were also those real moments when ordinary people stepped up in defense of others such as the female cop at Fort Hood, the inmates saving a guard in a detention center and such. I was rather turned off by a Kate comment this last week when she said "what am I suppose to do, go back to being a nurse and trying to raise my kids". A good nurse can draw a nice paycheck and live with thier means, I know many that have without regrets, unless your reality has taken you so far beyond reallity that it now seems insufficeint. We all have our dreams and visions, I know I do, and when mine does manifest I know I have put the heart into making it come true. Dream a big dream. I have a few documentaries I would like to see and research I would like to be a part of, but so far I have not quite figured out the right way to approach it.

The majority of reality shows if not all are just staged performances using what appears as "real" people who go on to become reality stars?? The first show I saw, she was talking about cleaning floors with a tootbrush being a germ phobic,  I enjoyed the kids, they are cute. The best place for them really is benig watched by the world at this point. Life in general is chaos, and to them that is their normal. After eight kids, she has to have more nips and tucks than could be counted. lol I like the naval comment, too cute!

This whole world right now does not seem real. You just sit back and wait for the next time bomb to explode. Where’s the peace!

Dear Margo: He Wants You to What?

#1 Take him for a MRI and literally find the peanut in his brain.

#2 She has chosen to accomodate for her weight in her car and life, you can either enable her to continue using her weight for her behavior or choose to address her the same as anyone else who travels in your vehicle, either buckle up, stay behind or drive herself. Getting behind the wheel of her car and driving her is just further endulging her own need for attention.

Dear Margo: Please Google Karen Carpenter

There are so many similiarities in the two letters involving parents and children. I have yet to meet either a parent or child who was perfect. But until either party decides to give way from either being part of the problem or part of the solution, and chooses to work together on a resolution, life between them will only tend to exist rather than being enjoyed.

I had more than my share of times when I tried to engage my mother and test how valid her thinking was. I found out we had much in common, just different ways of looking generally at everything. Both on the same page, just different chapters. I wish I could try again, but that time doesn’t exist anymore. Life is too short to take others for granted.

When my children were in school, the push was to read by themselves early, I am really enjoying my grandson in Kindergarten this year and the shift towards interactive reading and comprehension first, feeling alone reading will be more rewarding in the next stage of progress! We are both having fun, or maybe I am just gettting older.

Just maybe Jon should learn from Kate during the times he takes the shoe out of his mouth for a breath and has to reinsert or run away from questions. At least Kate is honest about trying to forge out the future rather than the next 15 minutes of fame or looking like a fool. They have taken the focus off of Octomom at least.

Natalie Morales is focused and driven, that part of her has shown through for a long time. I prefer her to Ann Curry anytime.

As we approach Sesame Street's 40th birthday, tell us: What is your favorite memory of Sesame Street?

My favorite was Mr. Snuffleuppagus! He was more than could be seen at times by others, but to the children he was very real and that made him real. He was the innocence of being a child.

As we approach Sesame Street's 40th birthday, tell us: What is your favorite memory of Sesame Street?

My oldest daughter was born on the small side at just over 4 lbs and barely 17” and the few years of her life she was slow on catching up, and watched Sesame Street everyday. When she was three, I took her to an ice show with the characters and she strained to see them from her seat even though she was sitting just a couple rows off the ice. They brought out a huge sled on the ice and started looking for kids to put on the sled. She really got excited and stood down by the railing but was too small to be seen. One of the skaters came over and seen her beneath the railing and scooped her up and put her on the sled. Even though she wasn’t any bigger than an 18 month old, she felt huge! They made that day which was part of a really hard time in her life disappear for awhile, and she has never forgotten her ride.

All my kids were better prepared for school because of Sesame Street and excelled. Thank you Joan for bringing Sesame Street into the lives of children regardless of who they were or circumstances in their life, the learning has been available. Crossing cultures and all income levels, bringing diversity into young lives and making children more accepting of each other in this world. You led the way!
