Life in the Little Lane: Edith Ann's Mission Statement

Ms. Musgy Jr., My inner child needs one of those dolls. Do you think there might more of these dolls out there? That little dolly looks really sweet. And I will play with you Mugsy Jr. anytime you want. Friends …. how nice!

Lily Tomlin: My Tony Awards Home Video

OH, man …. that was fun! First of all they way they call your name ….. wow, what a great feeling that is and was fun and exciting for me to see. Second I was able to see the way you do what you do …. running the lines, feeling the words …. very KEWL. Third the walk was GREAT! What a great walk … elegant, strong and star like. Fourth the intro was also GREAT, the pause after the line “… open a roller disco” was FUNNY! Lily Tomlin funny! And then the excitement at the after parties …. also fun! Thank you for the “goodnight WoW” …. that was for all of us on WoW. I smiled like it was just for me. Brilliant stuff. You look great …. your timing is great …. and the walk was to die for!

If you had a genie in a bottle, what three wishes would you make?

I would wish for 1) a magic wand to help with autistic meltdowns 2) virtual workplace/work from home job to generate a steady income. 3) a nice little one bedroom apartment for M and I and our doxie so that we would not have to go to the shelter

Life in the Little Lane: Edith Ann's Mission Statement

Ms. Em, That was funny … it was your brothers tree house. I could just see you in there hiding and smiling under your tremble. My brothers had tree houses and igloos … they were ten years older than me. I really wanted to know what was going on in that tree house. LOL! I must confess to be quite a tattle tale … my biggest tattle included a story about a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 and some unused condoms that I accidentally came across on purpose. The tree house came down in the year of my 14th summer. The tree house … wow, I ain’t thought about that since forever ago.

Life in the Little Lane: Edith Ann's Mission Statement

OMG! The best ever Edith Ann “Life In The Little Lane” on the WoW to date. My first response is always the WHOA factor. I love this …. the mission statement. For a little kid you sure do have some very profound ageless messages. And the best part …. I could see Edith Ann in the big chair; rocking back in forth feeding the lines in perfect rhythm to the movement of the authors pen.

Liz Smith's Father Told Her Not to Fight Fair

Ms. Smith, I do not mean to say you were raised on the streets. What I meant was … the way you write about “the main events” lets everyone know what happen and how it happened. The way you write is *eloquent and easy on the eyes . I read you and I can feel what you speak of yet I can not quite see. I am always craning my neck when I tag along with you. *eloquent writing and easy on the eyes reading is powerful …

Liz Smith's Father Told Her Not to Fight Fair

Ms. Liz, Your father was right … if I had an indian name it would be stands with fist! I like you Ms. Liz … you are a tough, cut to the chase and don’t BS me kind of woman. One might think you were raised on the streets! You will be so proud of me next week Ms. Liz … I promise there is a story here! And the best part is your personal touch. I have changed my name more than once on this site … you will know me in the end. I LOVE YOU! I love the TONY SMACK DOWN … don’t s. jacoby here you say smackdown … LOL! By the way that new book by Susan Jacoby The Age Of American Unreason is really something! :) my shotzie doxie says “hey”!

What is the best advice your dad ever gave you?

On the darker side of Fathers Day … do you want to know what he said to me? No, I don’t suspect you do.

wOw's Comments of the Week 6/9 - 6/13

wOw's Comments of the Week 6/9 - 6/13

The names in this group … these are the names of my sisters … wonderful women … and I mean to tell you that I have learned and will continue to learn from them as long I remain. These are comments of the week but for me they are comments to be carried and treasured for a lifetime.

wowOwow Salutes Our Friend, Tim Russert

My initial thoughts are of Mr. Russert’s family. I am sorry for his family and their loss. My second thought is… he was a ball breaker … and I like that. He has left behind him a legacy of ball breakin’ news busters. And for that we are all the better. The morbid … did you know they (news people, media, me and you) all sit like vultures … did you know any one person that had any sort of impact on todays society the obit for this person has already been written for quite some time … for instance let us say that the lovely *Paris Hilton should pass away this evening … guess what … they already got in for her. What if we could write our own obit, death story and follow up commentary?! What would yours say? *god forbid … no matter how she is perceived she is my sister.

Is a New Hymen the New Botox? Among Some Muslim Women, the Answer Is Yes

Dear Frau, Yes, I will pay up … I have no intention of “stiffing” the my local library nor do I wish to be un-supportive of my local library … And again, THANK YOU for the “pay up” reminder.
