I would hope that both candidates would be prepping for the debate. To not be prepared would be extremely arrogant. We know that no politician can be accused of arrogance! LOL

Barbara, I don’t think people are saying that your life is worthless after 70. My mom is 77 and even with a back injury, she can run (walk) circles around people way younger than she is. Have you noticed that Presidents age more quickly than usual? The job of POTUS requires a lot of energy/stamina. It is not just McCain’s age that has some people concerned. The 4 (?) recent bouts with skin cancer PLUS his age leads some of us to question his physical ability to carry out a complete term of office.

Frank, we only want you to be happy. That is why we are assuming you have a new relationship. Whatever is taking up your time, I hope you are happy. I’ve missed ‘hearing’ you. I’m glad life is good for you. Don’t stay away too long.

Patty, thank you for that link. New Mexico has three representatives. 2 Republicans-1 Democrat. The Dem and one Repub voted ‘no’. Heather Wilson(R) who has been in the Bush camp for a long time voted ‘yes’. I’m glad she is on her way out.

There are several things about this bailout that scare me. The fact that it is being pushed though so quickly and with so much fear talk makes me want to stop and think. The fact that the Powers that Be want no discussion raises a huge red flag. Also - the fact that some members of Congress want salary caps and limits is a good thing. Why are Bush and his croneys fighting on that? Why should the CEOs who had a huge part in causing this crisis walk away with large serverence packages and large salaries? Why should they be rewarded for their greed?

Carol, I completely agree with you. There are evenings when I just have to say “No more!” Then I worry about what I might be missing. This election is making me crazy!!

I’m not voting for her, but I’m glad to see she is making an effort to learn.
