Liz Smith: Natasha Richardson Off Life Support at Lenox Hill Hospital

So very sad.  I saw Natasha at the Savannah Film Festival a few years ago.  In 2007 her mother, aunt, and uncle were there too.  Wonderful family. Great talents.  She will be missed.

I want to live in New York, and work with Liz Smith and Diane Judge! What great, interesting, people. Alas, I live in Savannah, GA - a beautiful city- but not New York. We have had quite a few movies made here. One was Cape Fear (the original with Robert Mitchum (sigh), Polly Bergen, and Gregory Peck) - one of my favorites. Another was Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil - directed by Clint Eastwood starring Kevin Spacey and Jude Law (sigh2). I worked on the Midnight film. It was fun to watch recreations of actual events that took place here. Oh well, I am happy to have this wonderful site - wowOwow - to read about interesting and exciting things that are going on in the world. Thanks. One question for Liz and Diane. What are your top ten favorite films?

Thank you Candelaria - I agree. I started acupuncture a year ago to get off some rx’s (allergy mainly). I feel so much better and am trying to change my diet. When I last went to my allergy Dr. he informed me the FDA found Singulair had possibly caused some suicides. I checked on the internet and found many other problematic side effects from this drug. My allergy Dr. had previously insisted that I take this every day. I’m trying to be drug free. It is hard these days with the rx advertising and doctors giving out meds so easily. Of course drugs are necessary in many cases but there are a lot of alternatives out there.

I agree, the weight of the Supreme Court’s influence is crucial. Liz Smith mentioned rights of Death Row inmates. I personally would like to see an end to the death penalty. Right now there is an inmate on death row from Savannah, Ga - Troy Anthony Davis - that is very possibly innocent. He is awaiting a decision about his fate - his life. His family - especially his sister Martina Correia - has worked tirelessly to help him. I could only hope to have someone working as hard for me. A decision could be made soon.
