Jane Wagner: The Bright Side of a Big Family

Kryssi K: You may be right about the word “pets” so lets change that to fur friends - o.k.?

Jane Wagner: The Bright Side of a Big Family

Dear Ms. Jane, I’m sure you will agree that pets are extended family. If they are lucky, the pets are among the most cherished part. So many of us are saved by owners. My first owner saved me and later even allowed me to bring home my little friend, a one-eyed kitten. And she still has the kitten even though I moved down the hill with her full support and approval. Aren’t we the lucky ones! I would be willing to guess that any of your pets are just as lucky! Purrs and hugs to all! Love, Dice the Nice

Life in the Little Lane: Edith Ann's Letter to Obama Re: Kids' Allowances

You are probably right about the nails. Actually I have never had my nails trimmed. I have always been an outdoor cat and i don’t want that to change. I do sleep in my garage at night but I want my freedom the rest of the time. “They” have tried to get me to stay inside but I will have none of it. Guess I’ll just continue to make typos - hope you all don’t mind. Purrs from Dice.

Oh definitely - a nice place to live rates high in the scheme of things. Good friends (like the wOw people) make things even nicer. I am so glad to be part of the sandboxers. Hugs and purrs from Dice the Nice

Oh, Ms. Jane, I am so glad you’re back!! I agree with you, lets all get along and be happy we can still visit at the sandbox. Purrs and hugs

Dear Kryssi K: You are such a kind lperson to offer shelter to people and animals!! So far, we can handle a few stray cats in our neighborhood. Lots of really caring people live on our block and they step in and help find permanent homes for those cats in need. I will pass your offer on and THANK YOU very much!! LITTY HUGS AND PURRS.

Dear Edith Ann: like your idea about volunteering to do community service. Unfortunately, it is difficult for a cat to get to be a volunteer. If I could, I would like to be a volunteer at the Humane Society and help cats and dogs get good homes. Maybe I should at least offer. I know what a really good home is because I have one. I wish you weren’t allergic but I guess it would be safe to send you a hug via the internet. So here is a great big kitty hug and lots of purrs.

Dear Edith Ann, I’m so sorry to hear about the problems your family is having! You are so good at simply telling us the story without feeling sorry for yourself. I want you to know If you need it, I can share my garage with you! There is plenty of room. I sleep on a chair and there is an extra for you as well. I think in these times, everyone should be willing to share. Love, Dice the Nice

You are SO right and thank you Kryssi K for defending my honor. I am told that I am a perfect gentleman cat and would never make such a social error!! I assured Ms Jane that I can always be trusted in the sandbox. I too am very happy to have Edith Ann back at the sandbox and hope she stays a long time. Purrs

I saw that, too. We’ll have to write to her - so glad she’s back.

My “joke” was you don’t need marbles to play Scrabble, you only need marbles to play marbles. I’m glad we’re still friends and hope you have a nice restful (and fun) weekend. Purrs
