Sorry to see you have had such problems.  However, it is not just limited to political insurance but to all. I have worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years and find that when something is denied which would logically be paid..the problem is lack of information either received by the insurance company or not documented by the health care provider adequately. I know that insurance companies and health care providers get into pissing contests sometimes. I have witnessed it many times. One needs information, the other feels they have submitted enough or are angry they have to submit anything. The patient is the one paying the price with pain, frustration and dollars. If I had a cervical injury or disorder, was in pain and my insurance and health care provider were not working together to get the MRI approved I would ask to speak to a supervisor at the insurance company.  I would, also, speak to the health care provider and find out exactly what they had submitted and to whom at what address or fax number. 

 Documentation is important to both private and public health insurance companies in order to  make a determination.

I’m totally misunderstanding the whole thing, I suspose. I’ve paid for Medicare for all the years I worked based on my salary.

Once I’m 65 I will pay a premium as all do for part B. I do think Medicare is fairly well run. I reviewed claims for years for eligible reimbursements. I personally think the government can run a health care reimbursement system. They already do.

Susan, I agree with you. Elizabeth’s actively campaigning for John did not show me that she is a very moral person. If the news about his affair had not gotten out, if he had been nominated for the presidency,,,,what a disaster that would have been for his political party and the country! I feel sorry for the children involved but not for the adults. 

The Edwards are very wealthy people, yet Elizabeth wrote her last book including in it the effects of dealing with her husband’s affair. Why? She has children with this man. Why should she add fuel to the fire he has started. Their children can’t be total unaware of all of the media’s coverage. She just added to it. When she was promoting her book she appeared on Oprah. Oprah was in their home and when he was leading the children away after greeting Oprah she ask him if they could talk after her interview with Elizabeth. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Later he meet up with them in the gym of the hugh house. While Oprah grilled him about the affair, Elizabeth looked on with a terrible grin…if I was listening to someone talk to my husband about an affair, I would have been wounded and left the room. It would have embarrassed me too much.

When I was young, leaving home was something I looked forward to! If I couldn’t have found a job I would have entered the Peace Corp. Why are the youth of this country not being encouraged to enter into service of others before getting on with being consumers? I have seen from my granddaughters a sense of entitlement and they know their favorite designer name for purses, jeans, cologne, and all the things they think are necessities but don’t know the name(s) of their government representatives. My oldest granddaughter recently saw "Frost/Nixon" film and called me with all sorts of questions. I was surprised she didn’t know anything about one of our previous presidents.. Wondering what parents and schools are teaching our children? Famous designer names?

Schools are not up to par to when I went to school…I do feel sorry for the young generation and their trying to go out into the world. It will  be a shock and many will scurry back home as I have been seeing from my friends’ grandchildren.

I am so glad I live in a country where we can make mistakes and not always make the right decisions in our private lives without fear of intervention and punishment from the government. The fact that the mean who were involved in the incidents were not punished says volumes. I have written many times that we (females) need to take over and lead, in this country and all over the world. However, we who are free in the U.S. can not even elect a competent women to be president. Why are we satisfied to be subservient to men and if you think you are not then you have not been done busines with most medical specialists, bankers, legal experts, been in a court of law.  We have made strides but still there is a great disparity in power. Women, in my opinion, HAVE to take control and lead or mankind is headed toward extinction. Men will mess around and let the global warming and other important matters continue to slid until we are at a critical stage and things may not be turned around fast enough. Women are better at organizing, multi-tasking and planning than men..why are we still not leading the way? I am getting old…when I was young there were no women studies, no guidance as to what I could do with my life. I thought that the only thing open to me was being a wife, mother, and as for a job I was advised to think teacher, nurse or secretary.Nothing wrong with those selections. I am now a nurse…I could have been, if encouraged, research scientist. I certainly have the aptitute for it but it was not something I was even aware of being a goal. 

We need to encourage leaders from our community of sisters in this country to step forward and start doing what they can do best…lead. Then we can spread it around the world.  Other women are trying to lead in repressed countries and risking their lives. Lets encourage our sisters, daughters, nieces, aunts and all females to get to work for the good of our future!
