Dear Lily I will write ASAP and email today. Coming from Canada and hearing of Jenny’s plight and my sincere wishes for her health and safety etc. I watched a Fifth Estate about 2 weeks ago and wept at the site of chimps as young as a year old (thier years are much like ours) being seperated from thier parents and sold. I have vowed that I will not go and see a movie with any animal that has a “part” in it until I’m convinced there was no cruelty… and I do mean convinced because it goes on all the time. How saddening to find out Mutual of Omaha were cruel as were almost ANY other animal show.The Joy Adams foundation is doing a great deal to help but like any other organization they need funds… now that I think about it THIS is where my one million would go.

It’s been up for a few weeks now but I didn’t realise you could win a book!!! Wonder how you get in on that?!

Shelter would be where I would put my money. So many other related problems could be solved if we could create “homes” for the homeless. One million won’t go very far but I would start in my own community where it indded would make a difference.

You’re all correct that it is none of our business, but niether is Cher’s love affairs or Elizabeth Taylors health issues or Sharon Stone’s… you catch my drift. This is what Liz does and though YOU may not be interested, trust me, thousands of others are. Yes there are more thought provoking articles coming to wOw and we reap the congenial benefits from them. For the most part I respect and enjoy almost everyone who partakes of this site but once in a while I get a sense of “holier than thow” sentimentality.

wOw ladies… someone mentioned luck… I don’t believe in luck. You were in the right place at the right time because you got yourselves there. Some of you had privilages that others didn’t which is helpful (to say the least) but you all still worked hard to get where you are. Congrats all! Am I still the same as I was in High school? I’d say yes… at my core is a person who wants to please other people, hence at this stage in my life I’m not where I want to be but where others if my life want “us” to be, sad but true.

Jimminy crickets I love this site! Edith Ann, I think the art stand idea is the best by far… Josie is very smart you know and always has good thoughts. You may want to ask your auntie Liz about what to do with all that money you’ll make, you sure can’t put it in the bank!

I’ll admit to a bit of fun but then I really did google Gordon Brown the singer and as it happens he is an old favorite I’d long since forgotten. Thanks Phyllis!

Oh I just googled him, not THAT Gordon Brown (well we were discussing the Brits after all!!). Phyllis you might try Amy on Google… start with Love is a Losing Game. Loved Mr. Brown.

Dear Edith Ann How sweet of you to give up your allowance! I think a lemonade stand is a grand idea! I would suggest you sell lemonade by the glass for, hmmm, 25 cents? Or you could brand it, call it lemon latte and charge $3!! Now that would be helpful to your Mom and Dad. Cookies are a good idea too (not peanut butter even though that is my favorite) or maybe a biscotti?! And you could charge more for that. Don’t worry that the price is a bit high a lot of people seem to really enjoy paying more. Good Luck Edith!
