Tracy - I am proud of my soldier and all that he contributed to America and Thankfully he came home safely from Iraq and I agree that our Soldiers need to come home but coming home does not ensure that is where they will stay.  They signed up to defend our great Country - sometimes that means heading off to foreign countries or even here in the US - away from their families - to do that.  I dont like our Soliders where they are now but it was the job they signed up to do.  Yes when you send a Soldier to War you send their entire family - I know that first hand - and it does take a special "breed" to marry a Solider b/c most Soliders are married to the Military and their jobs are their families. 

Tracy - I hope your Soldier comes home safey & quickly where ever he may be.

Ok its good to be focused on what sick things he did but the question here is - he was found quilty and fled the country b/c he got scared - that is where we need to pick the story up - we all agree what he did to the then 13 yr old girl was just sick and nasty BUT this man thought it was OK to flee from his punishment - bring him back and make him serve out his sentence and pay his victim what he should have paid her years ago plus interest…….

I am not sure how to answer this question - If it keeps us safe should we keep Troops there - but isnt sending Troops there putting them in harms way so where is the US in that?  Do I feel we needed to go to Iraq, no, but we did…did we need to go to Afghanistan, yes, but should we still be there, Im not sure.  I think there is more threat elsewhere but what are we to do?  Send Troops all over - just fly them from one Country to the next? 

Do I think we should just up and leave - not now - all that will do is open the door for Al-Queda and any other terrorist group to come in and take over - both Iraq and Afghanistan are too un-stable.

I dont like our Troops there anymore then anyone else - but it is the job they signed up to do.  No matter what you say - when they singed the line, this became their job and even to those who signed up for the reserves.  I have friends and family currently in Iraq and Afghanistan so trust me saying those words aren’t easy. 

Do I think Obama should send the Troops to Afghanistan that the General is asking for - Yes and I say that with a heavy heart.  I just get this picture of the Troops there, exausted, tired and looking for support thats not coming from THEIR COMMANDER IN CHIEF…how would you feel? 

Frank you served in Vietnam - how would you have felt if you needed more Troops and knew they werent coming?  Would feel that your President turned his back on you…..

I care how the rest of the world feels about Obama just like I cared about how they felt on Bush…who our leader is makes a difference b/c it shows WHO WE the AMERICANS voted into office.  That says a lot - Im sorry but didnt N. Korea just test 5 short range missles?  Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, are they doing this b/c Obama is President b/c I dont recall that many being launched at one time under Bush?  Are they trying to say they dont like Obama? 

Starry I have said this time and time again but it never seems to sink in b/c you feel I lean to the right so you dont read what I post but I’ll say it again….I want anyone who is sick to get medical help & that includes those coming to our Country illegially.  I do not want them walking around sick and spreading whatever germs or disease they have onto anyone…I would love to beef up our borders so to keep those sick OUT. 

But the bill at first did not have anything to stop it and yes it was added after Obama was called out on it by Wilson but it was a lie at first to say "they would not be covered"….That is not something I will argue or discuss any further.

The ladies I know who have had abortions by choice did not have their insurance cover it - it was paid for out of pocket.  Now if it is medically necessary, yes their insurance paid for it. 

Yes I feel the POTUS should take his time and make a wise decision about additional Troops in Afghanistan BUT he was approached with this 9 months ago - how long does it take.  If you can’t make up your mind then PULL our Troops out and bring them all home then decide.  Dont leave small amounts of Troops there - outnumbered and sitting ducks.  Almost everyday this week I have heard on the news of yet another Solider dying in Afghanistan - please hurry & make up your mind Mr. President. 

Margo - are you saying the play that Judith is in will be traveling or the play mentioned from Chicago?  Please let me know - if the play Judith is in will be coming to a theatre near me I’ll try hard to get tickets…..
