Cokie Roberts: 'Hillary Is Negotiating Her Withdrawal'

Hillary all the way to the convention!!

If you were a superheroine, which one would you be?

Loved Halle Berry’s Catwoman hair cut. In fact, that’s how I wear my hair now.

Marlo Thomas: The Media Steals Our Chances of a Fair Election

Real news is still available on C-Span. You get people’s opinions on Washington Journal. Words straight from the horse’s mouth during the rest of the day’s programming - unfiltered, unedited, uneditorialized. C-Span 2 covers books and authors. And C-Span 3 is devoted to history.

'Change your shoes, change your life.' Is there any truth to this idea for you?

The opposite is true for me. In my 20s I bought shoes every weekend. I lived for the scent of new leather shoes. Today, I have a couple pair of Sketchers. They’re comfortable and economical. My shoes changed as my life and values changed.

wOw's Views on the News: Is Rev. Wright Leading to the Demise of the Obama Campaign?

This situation appears to show BObama’s lack of experience. Undecided voters may be swayed away from his campaign. Only time will tell. If he does well in North Carolina he should be ok. As for HClinton - she should stay in the race until the convention or until she runs out of money. Why quit? She may be the last candidate standing.

What is the first thing you hear each morning?

I listen for my husband, the children, then the birds.

How do you feel about being left alone for a few days? What do you do with the time?

Being alone means the furniture gets moved, a room gets painted, the kitchen gets reshuffled, the garden is replanted, lunch with friends, movies movies movies. While I can do these things when hubby’s home I totally enjoy his response when he comes back to discover what I’ve been doing.

wOw's Views on the News: Is It Time for Clinton or Obama to Throw In the Towel?

Linda, my reaction to the Wright/Moyers interview was very positive. Wright’s reputation was being dragged thru the mud and he had a right to set the record straight, especially because he was receiving death threats. It was about time we heard his speech and his side of the controversy. By the time he appeared at the Press Club we saw the real man. Good or bad, if you agree with him or disagree, at least we have a better idea who is Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Concerning the candidates: For me this was a crucial difference between the Democratic candidates. Who do I trust to protect me in times of trouble? Hillary Clinton. During what must have been the darkest days of her life, she stood by Bill, not because it was easier. As president, wouldn’t she do the same for America? Loyalty. Maybe it’s a female trait, or characteristics of being a Leo astrological sign. For me, loyalty is a key component of true leadership.

I miss Suzanne de Conti, too. If I remember correctly, she’s traveling.

Here here, Mugsy. GMTA!!!! Never say never. Never give in. We have no idea what’s going to happen in the next few months.

Why do you live where you do? How rooted are you to that place?

Honolulu is home. Trade winds carrying the scent of pikaki, ginger, mango and papaya flutter along the edges of my heart. The tones of Alfred Apaka, Palani Vaughn, Marlene Sai, the Brothers Cazimero and Israel Kamakawiwo’ole are sweet reminders of Hawaii’s promise of aloha. No matter where I roam, in whispering dreams my ancestors call my name from across the ocean, always calling me home.

What are you reading that you really love?

Wendy: Thanks for your feedback. Your observations of Kindle are very helpful. I’ve spent the day comparative shopping Kindle vs. Sony’s E-book Reader - reading customer reviews and complaints, listening to online testimonials, going to the bookstore to check out the Sony hardware, building my own list of yeahs and nays. So far none of my research has touched on the smell of a book or the passing it on to friends. Will add to my list. Thanks.

Whoopi: 'Ma, Don't Freak Out. But, Yes, This Is Marlon Brando'

Marlon Brando at the piano. Now, that’s a Wow moment!!

The Blame Game: Why Is the Price of Gasoline Through the Roof?

Protesting? Yes. On “60 Minutes” Andy Rooney suggested we stop flying for seven days to protest airplane delays. Wonder what would happen if we stopped driving for seven days.
