I think if you were scoring this as a debate, Senator Obama would win on points. I think a sense of rashness was detected when Senator McCain suggested freezing almost spending (except intitlements, veterans affairs and some other departments), as oppossed to selected cuts. And Senator McCain is committed to staying and paying for Iraq. That’s a deal breaker for many people.

Interesting point made about Senator McCain still fighting the Vietnam War, because the fight for him was maintaining honor. Whether that works with being President is a good question. Now is the time for pragmatism.
