Bill Maher and Ann Coulter Agree on Something at Radio City Music Hall Debate

My compliments on the new avatar. Just thought maybe this was a good thread to admit to being one of AG Holder’s cowards for not responding to your "Unbelievable" comment last week. I mean, if Bill Maher can sit down with Ms. Coulter, seems like we could discuss why a little white girl like I used to be would’ve enjoyed stories about a bunch of whacky animals…and then, of course, "put away childish things."

Oxana Malaya Should Advise Latest Russian Girl Found Raised by Dogs

But invariably, the most fascinating stories I’ve ever hear come out of Rusiian. That’s all meant to say.

Erika La Tour Eiffel Kisses Golden Gate Bridge, But Insists 'I Married the Eiffel Tower' (Video)

Hey, I may joke about it, but I’m not "in love" with my dog! (Just thought I’d better make that clear.)

Oxana Malaya Should Advise Latest Russian Girl Found Raised by Dogs

Wow. Those Russians are reeeeally something.

Meghan McCain Blasts Ann Coulter: 'I Find Her Offensive'

Rachel, I think Mr. McBreairty was simply stating that the fact that "we all age" is just one of many realities that Coulter seems to be out of-touch and over-the-top about.

Nancy Reagan Praises Obama's Stem Cell Plan

I’m sure Obama couldn’t ask for a better policy endorsement, along about now. Thank you, Mrs. Reagan!

Majority of Republicans See No Clear Leader, Especially Not Rush, Palin

I think there’s a third party out there…missing a golden opportunity, if you ask me. Or maybe MSM still wants to ignore them. Has Lieberman attended any retreats lately?

Withdrawing Resignation, Iraq's Minister of Women's Affairs Blasts Government

Woo-hoo! Both for al-Summarai and the three international groups (that I guess must remain anonymous) that urged her to stand her ground. I hope more "groups" jump on this woman’s bandwagon!

Obama's Stem Cell Decision Signals Administration's Science Bug

I wonder if I’ll live long enough to see the miraculous, long-term consequences of this move. Like everything else, it’s not gonna happen overnight. Nevertheless… Thank you, President Obama!

Merck, Shering-Plough Merge in $41 Billion Big Pharma Deal

Is this Plough, as in Obama’s campaign adviser, David Plough?

I’ve been saying for a long time that the cost of Rx drugs could go way down if they’d just prohibit advertising. I’d like to see that plugged into health care reform. But I don’t think the government should have any kind of say in this kind of business merger, and each of these companies may strengthen the other in ways that will lower costs.

These aren’t banks peddling faulty instruments and speculation…even though I do wish we’d conduct a few more long-range trials before slapping them on the market. At least big pharma isn’t asking for a bail-out. That’s one.

The Down Index: Hamptons Real Estate Confidential

"…a new, enlightened way to do business." I like that idea. Beats scrounging around at the bottom of the barrel. Good luck, Ms. Slattery. Spearhead the trend!

Publicist to Jade Goody: 'Enough Is Enough'

Well, it’s a pretty sad story. But the publicist needs to convince her client. The bigger question…how did the hammer-woman ever get into her room? That says more about the hospital than the camera crews.

Madoff Victims Come Together to Find Justice – or at Least a Little Relief

I see an Erin Brokovich movie in the making. C’mon. Where’s that pro bono attorney that’s willing to take this on…and the feisty little clerk who’s ready to dive in and dig, dig, dig! I hope this group can find them, ‘cause it sounds to me like they have a great case!

Vatican: Washing Machine More Liberating Than Birth Control

What I find peculiar is that even after the washing machine was invented, no mad would be caught dead doing the laundry. I understand that back when women "knew their place", so did men. And now that women have demonstrated that we can fill nearly any man-sized shoe, most men still can’t manage to wipe all the crumbs off the countertop…even with a handi-vac.

Women are so lucky in today’s modern world. For generations, the work, and the hours involved in mainting a happy healthy family was desperately disproportionate. The washing mahcine, and the dishwasher and the vacuum liberated us within the household, gave us more quality time to spend with our children. The pill liberated us, and our families, within the fullness of life.

That’s not very well said, but all too often, it seems like women are still the ones taking on the bulk of the responsibility for both!

TMZ's Harvey Levin Blasts NY Times for Lack of Rihanna/Brown Coverage (Video)

I back the judgement of the New York Times. There are privacy issues that should be respected, no matter how "interested" people are. This idea that it’s "good for business" to feed the gaping maw with tasteless sensationalism is at the very root of our nation’s economic problems. It urges people to throw all sense of propriety right out the window for the sake of the almighty dollar.
