As I recall, the guys he played with were an established group that played together somewhat regularly. Obama did not pick and choose who was in the group, and I do not recall anyone commenting on the political makeup of the group.

This struck me as the more sexist event because this was when he considered appearances of gender bias and making a statement. For the basketball game, he was just a +1 to someone else’s group. Given the composition of Congress, I imagine he would be hard-pressed to find any women there who regularly played basketball - and is that how we want him to spend his time?

When the price of aviation fuel shot up, and the airlines were near failure, The pilots took a hefty pay cut. The mechanics and attendants took a hit in pay and benefits as well. For a while, there was a problem with airlines that laid off too many pilot, and overworked the rest. The pilots would run up against the monthly limit on flight hours, which resulted in repeated end-of-month cancellations and late departures/arrivals.

This particular flight was subject to another problem. Delta bought out NW, and has spent the past year in the merger process. Merging seniority lists was a major issue. These people might have already been concerned for their jobs, which would make this incident all the more foolish and the pressure to avoid blame more intense.

Fighters were seconds from take-off when contact resumed. The pilots had to make specific maneuvers to prove that they were in control of the plane before they were allowed to return to MSP. Police entered the plane before anyoue was allowed to leave.

Meanwhile, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, which scrambled fighter jets for the wayward plane but did not launch them, said it was reviewing procedures for launching the fighters to track potentially hijacked or suspicious aircraft.

Her name…was Ruby, and I could tell at a glance that she was off the rails. She was here because she thought her laptop security had been penetrated, but at the moment it was my firewall that was under attack. I had recently lost my sidekick to a dame like this, and it looks like my cookies are now on the plate.

She was a browser with a history, all right, and clearly no easy mark for a virus. I didn’t have to go on Safari to tell that this was no Chrome-plated, Google-eyed SeaMonkey singing me her own little Opera; this was a sleek little Firefox - with the coat to prove it.

I killed the smoke alarm and proceeded to scan her main storage for malware, but she looked like she’d never set foot in a mall. Next I started looking for a rootkit, but they can be harder to find than good barbecue at a Sushi Bar. After phishing around for a while, the clouds parted and I could see the problem staring back at me like freckles on a polar bear…
