New York was, is, and always will be the capital of the world. The whole world was New York on Sep. 11th, and the whole world will always remember what we as human beings mean. The catastrophe in this central piece of the planet was definitely not by coincidence. How much must we all work and how hard to keep this event alive in order for it to not cause more death?

I absolutely agree that literary works should be published reagrdless of fear, however, when it comes to biographies and auto-biographies then the issue is a different one. Particularly when it comes to facts, research, and conclusions. The references are vital and it is in no one’s interest when facts, especially historic and religious, are taken and used in a manner that may lead to unnecessary consequences. Islam has very many sources and not all of them are those that the Islamic world would render significance, and to have them published or re-published in today’s social reading and mentality only incites cultural offense. My sole advice would be to publish such books should be to inform and in order to do so must be associated or undertaken jointly with a credible Islamic ref. to guarantee that the outcome is in everybody’s favour. If not and anyone drags any ref. from anywhere with historic social anecdotes that do not have credible bearing,only means that the intention is to insult.

Any woman that enters Amreican politcs must be a brave woman, simply because the way issues are portrayed are enough to push them out, and any one reading this article knows that this has basically nothing to do with her capacity in foreign policy. If she did not have the knowledge then Senator McCain would not have made the choice.

Chemistry is what it takes, that is what guarantees that disagreements are only that, and feminine intuition is what usually saves the day.

What’s important to me is that I met someone famous I wanted to meet, one of the most brilliant Arab poets “Mahmoud Darweesh,” that was definitely an honour I will always cherish.

Is there actually a question as to whether one agrees or disagrees with MLK, or supports or supported his cause or not? The question in this day and age is how some of the racist symptoms that were supposed to have been defeated by him, sstill exist and persist today. That is the question, the only problem is that those that choose to practice racism have learnt and developed their tactics, in the attempt to seem as if they are the ones fighting for the sake of human redemption. Our quest has become even more difficult in weading both those tactics and the root social diseases as well. Other than that MLK is just as much needed today as he was yesterday…

I have a question here, what if Senator Obama is not the biggest guy in the room on Thursday what would happen? I’m only asking because I, as a foreigner, find this quite interesting about American politics, somehow the issue becomes the next person once the person in question has succeeded to rise up to the occassion. Meaning, you get bored very easily with your candidates even as they speak…!

The photo-ops are usually reminers of the fact that something is teribly wrong. The issues are never ealt with on stage, and it is always the faces behind the scenes that one ponders on…

Teh world of politics does not know woman vs. man, does not know right from wrong, that is the harsh reality, it is a world where everything, unfortunately, is somehow acceptable because it is politcs….If women are to enter this world then they must do so with one thing in mind that they are going to be subjected to the same amount of filth as the next person. The only thing that they should keep in mind is why did they enter. if their answer is to deviate the status quo, then they should be prepared to do so, by drawing everyone’s attention by doing the unorthodox, by being credible. That is the only thing that drawsa people’s attention nowadays, because of the lack of it. That makes the path ever so more fragile, because it changes the trem of reference, since the path usually travelled in politics is to immediatel;y do what everybody else does and considered O.K. If women are to enter with that notion then they might as well stay home and bake cookies, because at least they would be safe from any filth and of being dragged downwards into the common norms of modern politics. if they are to enter this world then it should be with the notion of learning from all the previous and from the mistakes that have been made and do a better job, instead of the other way round. That is where the fragility lies, because the believers in this norm are usually the ones that are always mourned, i. e. Martin Luther King, john Kennedy, etc….There is no middle way, because the majoriy wants to survive and you become the enemy from within. So, no pink ladies it;s an ugly reality, either enter with that in mind, or stay away….

The morning when it begins by the right sound, the afternoon when it moves through the slow motion of the day, and the evening when a friend can put a smile on my face.

One of the most significant elements in the U.S. political system is its checks and balances. Even when matters seem to take hold and will be almost insurmountable, the agility of these checks and balances allows and disallows the shell to become too rigid, that is most certainly in its favour. As for celebrities supporting politicians, well I thinnk that again is part and parcel of that positive factor called the social contract. They, celebrities, have the effect of attracting swift attention to issue that politicians alone may not succeed in doing. The fact that they are American gives them extra value added and have become part of the reform valve needed to readjust the imbalances in D.C. as well as the politcal system as a whole.

This is not a bad principle to be put in place. Basically because it allows individuals to be open about their beliefs instead of feeling that they are obliged to practice one thing while they believe in something else. This opens the door for everyone to be comfortable in their own skin without discrimination, particularly doctors that are from various religious backgrounds and not only Orthodox Christians per say. As long as this principle does not interfere with women’s rights, and both the choice and the services they require, whether abortions or otherwise, remain in their favour.

This country has individuals that are worth showing the world, and making a point that not all U.S. citizens are what they are percieved to be from the outside. Great loss
