Do you or did you ever earn more money than your spouse/significant other? Did it make a difference in your relationship?

Yes, for a couple of years I made more money than my spouse and he enjoyed it. In less evident ways it affected our relationship, some good and some bad. Now he makes more so the pressure is off, lol.

What networking site(s) do you use regularly?

Facebook is my social networking with two active children in sports, a husband and a full time job, I get to catch up on all my friends.

The new iPod Shuffle is even smaller and holds more songs than before. Does it tempt you? If not, is there any gadget that does?

The new Ipod does nothing for me, I have a MP3 which does the job just fine. Now what temps me is the Kindle, that’s on my wish list. I could download my summer reading into one gadget and use it at the cottage, imagine!!

I love it, being so undefined. Initially it’s difficult to digest but as time goes by your true nature will come out. It may be that you are who you are right now: a woman at home with a lot of time on her hands. Relish it because it’s life.

As serious as this economic downturn is, are we overreacting?

Human nature’s tendency is to take it and run, thus overreacting. Media plays a large part in this by inundating the public with bad news making it more easy to become fearful and panic in today’s economy.

Is this downward trend/recession any worse than 1982? No, the only difference are the media ports available to get your daily dose of pessimism. Face it the markets are our emotions on the most basic level. Feel confident and it will eventually show up in the markets. As for the media, whatever sells, sweety.

Are you willing to accept more gov't regulation and fewer choices in health care to cut costs and provide insurance for all?

It’s a good trade off.

What is the best present you have ever received?

The best present are these words from my mom before she died: "You can do any thing you want, just put your mind to it." And my sons.

It's Friday the 13th. Does this date spook you?

It used to spook me along with all the other omen driven theories. Now, my motto is life is too short to fret over silly things. Happy Friday the 13th.

The first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning is do I have time to write before work!!

What do you think of Rihanna's rumored return to alleged abuser Chris Brown?

My mother did the Monday-Friday thing for years. The abuse on stopped when she chose to leave 25 years later. Despite being an intelligent woman each hit she endured bruised not only her body but her self-esteem and confidence. After realizing her relationship with my dad would not change for the better she left. I can remember so many interventions and outpouring of support from her family and friends but she did it on her own. No amount of convincing changed her mind. An abused woman is a fragile woman inside, her self-worth, self-esteem and confidence is at an all time low. So instead of casting judgement on Rihanna or any other woman maybe offer a boost to their ego. Let them know no matter what you’ll be there as someone who cares.
