Ms. Larsen, Having worked in a “man’s” world, that is, what was the finance world in the late sixties, I have met very few women that it was a pleasure to work with. I prefer to have men as employees as well. Not to make a pitch, but to make one…I wrote a book: “Ten Things I Still Hate About Those Women” to expose just how vile some women can be. The book is not a diatribe, over the four years it took me to writre it, I worked out a lot of my anger, but at the same time, the book does talk about the kind of women we have all had to deal with in our flife times, women who don’t make us feel all warm and fuzzy or comfortable.

Amazing! Not one comment about the tens of thousands of Iraqi’s gathered in the sqaure just a few short weeks ago, where Bush was not only hung in effigy but burned as well. No one respondent points out the frustration that people all over the world feel towards the US and especially Bush because of His war that has killed tens of thousands innocent men women and children. This is clearly an example of “when good men say (do) nothing.” The point is there has been so little truth released to the public about the war in Iraq. We clearly don’t know the horrors that those people have had to endure over the last five years because we don’t even know anything about our young men and women who have returned home maimed, their lives forever changed, by a pre-emptive war that was begun based on lies. If only Bush and his band of planners had merely thrown a shoe or two at Saddam in March of 2003. How many lives would have been saved?

You gotta be kidding me, right? Someone took the time to interview Linda Tripp, the lady, or maybe not, who went out of her way to betray Monica Lewinsky as well as Hillary Clinton. Is there no low that the so-called media won’t stoop?

Walter Wallis, you are an example of what’s wrong with this country. Too much rancor and not enough knowledge about the issues. Condoleeza Rice has not brought honor to this country. Think about her testimony during the 9/11 Commssion? I think that Powell was duped by Cheney’s “intelligence” finders, people who had an clear agenda about going to war. Believe it or not, the country used to function before Americans learned to distrust one another on issues of national importance. The hate mongers and the shock jocks who have gained prominence in our society laugh all the way to the bank while spewing vitriol, derision and hatred against non-whites who don’t support the neo-conservative republicans. The legacy of this group of greedy, dishonest people: a country left in economic shambles, legions of young men and women who fought in a war based on lies have returned home broken emotionally and physically, a lost claim to being one of “the good guys” globally because of torture camps, renditions, etc. It’s time we all took a real hard look at the legacy of the past eight years, and you don’t have to look to cloesly to see that the scene isn’t too pretty.

On a personal note, Ms. Streep, Thank you for your personal kindness that you extended to my daughter last year. I have admired you as an actress for many, many years, but your stock flew to the top of the list when my daughter spoke of meeting you. Thanks again and good luck!

Too bad “Joe the Plumber” is also unable to recognize that “the presence” he felt with Palin had more to do with his libido than her desire “to serve” the American people. How many days since the election has Mrs. Palin spent in Alaska, taking care of the the needs of peope that elected her to govenor? We, as a country, have had eight really bad years because we elected someone who was supposed to be marginally educated with a folksy personality. Obama isn’t the Messiah, but hopefully he will be able to redirect this tail spin we are in because of the Republican machine. Really Joe, are you really better off today than you were eight years ago? Oh, yeah, I forgot, you now have a career in the media.

Rocky Rocky, you have zeroed in on the problem. People that make that kind of money hire professionals to manage that money for them. Time and time again artists without basic math or reading skills have lost large sums of money because they put their trust in the wrong people. Hopefully the young lady still has the wherewithall to hire a competent attorney to stop the foreclosure and to sue her previous attorney for non-performance.

P.S. No mention of the Right Rev. Hagee and his wholesome sermons. Hypocrisy at its worst!

This is such a non-issue. The MSM and a whole lot of people have decided to take Rev. Wright’s words out of context. The only reason that his sermons…and the sounds bytes were snipped and edited for effect were reported solely to demean Obama and to call Rev Wright anti-American. Like the people who are questioning Barack Obama’s right to be president based on his questioned birth status, the Rev Wright and his credibility as a man of God and an effective community activist will be forever sullied. As for Elizabeth Hasselbeck….? Despite the fact that she has stated repeatedly that she doesn’t need to “learn anything more about the issues,” well, this statement speaks volumes about her ignorance about people, issues and her motivation. I know that her positions makes the show controversial the sad thing is that there are too many people in America who refuse to read and investigate the facts and therefore endorse pre-emptive wars and decide that other Americans are traitors because they disagree with their unexamined platforms.

Nice to read that so many people have actually thought about this question. There is far too much information floating around but the sad thing is, even if these people were presented with valid information, they would still choose to think that Obama isn’t a valid citizen.

Living in a relatively small suburban city near Los Angeles the signs have been clear for months. Many small businesses have closed other small businesses that have operated for over thirty years have been forced to either relocate or to close their doors permanently. Local restaurants are no longer crowded on Friday and Saturday nights; sings of “Bank Owned” properties have begun to increase.

FDR said it best: “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Stay focused on today…Seriously, let tomorrow take care of itself . Besides you can’t live it until it’s the moment at hand anyway. My advice is not cavalier in any way. I have experienced more loss and more stress in the last calender year than I have experienced in my entire life. The economy has deeply affected my business, my son died in mid July and I find myself buried in depression and ineffectiveness most of the time. So…my entire life experience of sixty years says not to panic, don’t fear but just keep on taking one step at a time. That’s all anyone can expect of another human being!

You know, we are all different and a whole lot of people don’t like Oprah or Sarah Palin. The point is, women, even the young ones today, have problems with other women either out of jealousy, spite, you name it. Whether Oprah has Sarah Palin on her show or not is not going to insult Barack Obama or anyone on his staff. unless they’re woefully are caught up in an emotional juvenile world.. By the way - just how do people advertize their web-sites on WoW? I mean, I’m no Sarah Palin and God knows no one offered me even $7 for my book, but if Wow allows random advertisement, why not at least faeture people who read and are a part of your community?

Ms. Peek, you say that applications for refinances are soaring? The questions becomes are these applications not only being approved but are also getting funded? I would suggest that the credit crunch, regardless of lower rates is alive and well and our economy is strangling the consumer. You may be Wow’s resident expert on the issue of finance, but your examination of the auto industries problems isn’t comprehensive. All auto makers, foreign as well as domestic manufacturers aren’t selling cars because the economy is in free-fall. Your spin about the UAW and its impact on the auto industry is almost criminal.
