Is Three in the Bedroom One Too Many? Maybe Not!

Of course, I had a waterbed way back when - and if it had been able to talk……………..

Hysterical, Mrs. P.  I’m laughing……as I pick up the phone.

Sybil, Sage indeed!!! I laughed out loud.  You are SO RIGHT!!!

At the end of the crazy sixties, Sam, now in her sixties, spent one night as a threesome.  Her verdict: too much trouble by far!  The guys got what they wanted but Sam had to wait until breakfast at a greasy-spoon diner for true satisfaction.

The members of the threesome were all, however, overachievers in other areas, with many undergraduate and higher degrees between them.

As the real Oscar said, "I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I am saying."

Are you like your mother?

Not only was Phyllis a great mom, she taught me an important lesson in parenting.  She explained that children need to develop self-confidence and self-respect and that a mother can help her children to do so by saying not "I am so proud of you" but "You must be very proud of yourself."  My children are in their thirties now and it’s a joke between them and me that, when one of them has done something great, I say, "Phyllis would say that you should be very proud of yourself."  We all love her and love to think of her when things are going well!!!

Are you like your mother?

Your mom was one special lady and you are too!

Are you like your mother?

Whenever I’ve wondered what to say to my children (now grown) at difficult moments, I’ve tried to imagine what my mother would have said.  Then I say the opposite.  I have a wonderful relationship with both my children.  Thanks, ma!!

Does money buy happiness? How much does it cost?

It is interesting to read about the concept of "Gross National Happiness" (GNH as distinct from GNP):

While conventional development models stress economic growth as the ultimate objective, the concept of GNH claims to be based on the premise that true development of human society takes place when material and spiritual development occur side by side to complement and reinforce each other. The four pillars of GNH are the promotion of sustainable development, preservation and promotion of cultural values, conservation of the natural environment, and establishment of good governance. We (in the USA) rank 114th out of 143 - amazing, given our material wealth relative to the rest of the world.

Does money buy happiness? How much does it cost?

Happiness is knowing that for almost 35 years, through ups, middles, and downs, I’ve been able to count on your friendship (and Sleeping Giant’s too!).  Money can’t buy friends like you!

I don’t think that we need to peek into Peek’s purse to know EXACTLY where she’s coming from.  A glance at this article will suffice: http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2009/04/who_is_the_anonymous_tarp_wife.html

How do you keep your thighs in shape … if you do?

I bet you’ll see results in a couple of months.   I am only 5’2" and could use a rack too :)
