What do you think of nuclear power as a viable energy source?

not thrilled about it but it is avail/clean I am for any type of energy that makes up more self effecient

Will you watch the DNC and RNC coverage?

wasn’t the Ted Kennedy part moving—being from Massachusetts I had the Kleenex box out on that one. Caroline Kennedy never looked more beautiful or gracious. as always…….I really wanted JFK jr to run for office—shame what happened to him………………..

Will you watch the DNC and RNC coverage?

You must vote as a Woman and as an American—others fought too hard before you -to give you that right! I am Indep.—-not a party line voter. I just hate all the BS of politics—just tell me what your plans for the future are and be honest as you can be! GEEEEEEEEZZZZZ!

What is the most memorable evening you've had this summer? Will you recall it often?

16 acres section of springfield massachusetts—western ma…almost on Conn border

Will you watch the DNC and RNC coverage?

I plan to watch as much as I can….Not sure who my chose will be as I am an Indep. Voter. But I am waiting to see what Hillary has up her sleeve for the convention—she just can’t let go of it—and I hope she doesn’t make a circus out of it for Obama. I like both Candidates for different reasons. If they could just get to the issue—like war/health care/environment ect and stop trying to pull each other down!

macho macho man! Happy Birthday!

What is the most memorable evening you've had this summer? Will you recall it often?

I had a pretty uneventful summer after the sickly winter I just put in. Here in New England —it just rained and rained—we really have had no Summer.I never made it to the Ocean like I wanted (those medical bills came rolling in). Nor did I get a chance to get into NYC and see Whoopie in Xanadu-I just know she has to be terrific. OK so I guess the best night/day is the one where the neighborhood was quiet—I was in my chair-it was sunny about 85 degrees with a nice summer wind going through my hair -right in my back yard. (I was reading Barbras book- I kid you not) It was just —well-PEACEFUL—I need more days like that don’t you?

What is your favorite time of day?

thanks —-and it gets better I had the surgery on my 50th birthday! Now that really put things into perspective!

What is your favorite time of day?

I used to have a favorite time—-but since my open heart surgery at 50 I think every moment I am here is a gift…

The Latest Bush Admin Abortion Controversy? The Health Care Worker Opt-Out

I think this is a positive move for the healthcare worker as well as the client. Being a nurse-I understand we have always had that choice— if you oppose abortion the administration will not put you in with that situation. It is also good for the clients-I remember a day when abortion patients were put in rooms with moms ready to deliver or having hysterectomies—can you imagine? Face it —no one makes this choice easily—all women know this—men don’t understand. I remember in the 70s when all of this became legal-and women had the choice and we should always have that choice. They used to say”IF MEN COULD GET PREGNANT ABORTION WOULD NOT EVEN BE AN ISSUE AND ABORTION CLINICS WOULD BE ON EVERY CORNER” Kind-of harsh I know……But no matter how you feel —it is personal—you should have the right to choose—and shouldn’t be forced -as a doctor or nurse -to perform this procedure or be a part of it if they find it offensive-albiet just for the sake of the woman having it done. She needs positive support and education on contraception not some one looking down on her………..

Do you think you look better than your mother did at your age?

My Mom has always looked fantastic.Tall-thin-blonde-blue eyed- and she has a high IQ is good with people… If she would have been born at a different time I imagine she would have been a lawyer or doctor…. she married at 16 and had 2 kids. Still in her own way she managed to be active-Cubscouts-PTA -you name it.She opened a Library at our elementary school —always full of energy and ahead of her time as well. She is my best friend/ took me and my son in when I became a single parent. She is 74 now and you would never guess it. Me I am short-stubby and have no eneregy! I THINK I WAS ADOPTED LOL! When my friends meet my mom they can’t believe she is my mother—-I am not sure if that is a compliment or insult?????

What one book must all young women read before they turn 21?

OUR BODIES OURSELVES or as it used to be called my body myself/ to learn what a woman is physically—emotionally-the options we have in life—I never needed anything ”answered” after reading that book. Liberating.

The Tale of Hatie Agora Hypochondriasis-Berger

DO YOU KNOW ME? LOL Just kidding. I am a nurse so you do not want to get me started on the health field (a total shambles) I will tell you when you are chronically ill this IS how you feel in a way—especially if you are young…. But me having the “”big one”” on my 50th Birthday and almost meeting my maker changed me—LIFE IS TOO SHORT—oh how short………………..

Are you more comfortable with your body now than you were 20 years ago?

My body is older and gone south its true….20 years ago I had the best body I could have wanted—perfect size 7—everything looked good on the OUTSIDE—on the inside I was insecure and a mess. Now I too am covered with battle scars—especially just having had Heart bypass surgery at 50,,right on my 50th! what a gift! (I really would have rather had my chin done to be honest)—-then I had gall bladder at 37 followed by a hysterectomy.. I suppose a guy could always get a sharpie and we could play connect the dots!(scars lol) Its a shame too because now at 50 I feel so good and relaxed and secure—a 360 reverse from 20 years ago—-the inside is good the OUTSIDE? Well it’ll just have to do—I am doing the best with what I have!
