At 63 I am back to school now, and pursuing a new avenue in life. It is wonderful. In our nation the choices are so diverse, it’s taken me awhile to find what I am truly meant for. I love being a woman of the millenium.

Don’t we have enough to be paranoid about? I’m just not gonna worry about this one! I refuse to become a snoop, or a nag, or ………..now let me see, when was the last time I checked his email? lol

Beauty disadvantaged. Is that physical beauty, inner beauty, or just plain old poor and without a home? I mean, if I could afford to go to Australia to find one of those poor, ill mannered miners………you see where I am going? Bigotry is everywhere, even here.

Ah Diana, you are onto something. Hangouts, hangups, it’s all ego to me…lol.

Hmmmmm……he sounds like a man trying to get even. Do you think “rejection” is one of his issues? I seriously doubt that bevy of beauties on his “space” actually have any personal connection to him. He should be made part of history!

It seems that the Olympics are a whole lot more interesting today than they were decades ago, when only amateurs were allowed to compete. And the top athletes are most likely going to have received some sort of payment for what they do. But I was a little surprised to learn about the “incentive” pay some nations were giving for their athletes that bring home the gold. You can’t stop payment, so sit back and enjoy it. Less headache.

Dara has done a lot to break down those age barriers. It’s not just in sports, but in all walks of life. Age is a number, not an ability, or physical health, or strength. I see women every day of my life who are striving to overcome the age barrier in careers, in education, and (of course) in appearance. Good for all of us.

I’m sad to say that this is not the only sour note in competitions. Take note of Yao Ming’s complaint over being taken out of a basketball game in order that his team would get into a lower division, making a win more possible. It’s sad, and probably not going to be addressed officially. But most of us have our eyes open.

When the women of history are named, Helen Thomas will be at the top of the list. Her outspoken and courageous stands have given us all reason to step back and think. What a gal!!

I’m tired of Edwards. It would be great irony if it turned out one of his irate family members blew the whistle on him. I really get bored fast with the sexual antics of our power seekers.
