Thank you for the above information and your excellent research into the issues.  I for one have no patience for it, so I really, really appreciate your good work.  I have been so angry with President Regan for so many reasons, but the whole methodology his Administration used in handling our economy really *issed me off!  Also, unrelated was his decision as Governor of California, to empty out our mental hospitals and dump hundreds of people on the streets of CA, because they had no alternative housing plans.

I got a bit side-tracked… my point simply is unless we have some assemblance of community in our country, and find a way to come together, I really fear that we will remain splintered for decades to come.

Lastly, I do not comprehend how anyone can make assertions about the present economic situation, without tracing most of it back to the past administration!???  How many times must the progressives come behind and clean up the messes before some finally come to the rational conclusion that the Republican Party is no longer…  It is a convoluted mixture of conservative, moderate conservatives, and the mishmash of those who hang onto the tailcoats of either party, creating ever more division and chaos for ALL of US!  Ultimately what we have are those who fall somewhere between the lines in either party, who only seem to want more and more division.  I am quite dissatisfied with both major parties right now!  There are too many fringe people and groups who are just raising havoc and stirring the pot, almost as a game or fun-filled adventure!

I want to hope and believe that if given the time President Obama will finally lead us toward a more wholistic and healthy nation.  It is so far past time to come together again!  This is the kind of leadership we really need right now.

It actually started with the good ol’ "Trickle-down economics" of Regan!  Why do you suppose the Republican congress members, corporate bandits, wall street, stock-holders, et al enjoy his type of system so much??  They got REAL lucky when the Congress, WhiteHouse, etc., handed over millions and billions in their tax breaks, their no bid contracts, and all the crap they’ve pulled esp., in the past several years?

Now, President Obama and the Congress are left to clean up the mess after the fact, and some want to criticize HIS handling of the wars???????????????  Let us NOT forget how this whole mess began…  It is shameful however, that we cannot agree on much of anything right now, we are so badly divided.  Didn’t anyone else see the divisionary tactics happening before we got this convoluted?  President Lincoln was certainly right in regard to "… a nation divided cannot stand…"

It’s not Glenn Beck who exposed anything about acorn - it all came out in the congress.  If you follow the reports and Committees you would have already known this information.  And, the ACORN debacle unfortunately, came about only because there were a few bad apples who were trying to take shortcuts, in order to get paid for more signatures on their petition sheets that messed up, NOT the entire organization.

just a bit of FYI for those who claim christianity … Jesus also talked about heaven in the NOW!  Heaven as a distant place, and heaven, within each of us.  I suspect none of us has THE answer.  Perhaps heaven is a time and space experience.  In any case, I cannot worry if I have it right, or not.  I am only able to control my actions and words in the here and now - if there is a heavenly place, it seems to me it would be more of a spiritual plane rather than a physical experience.

For now, I will simply be content with a moment of "take me away Calgon!"   -grin-

Years ago I wrote a poem which showed the inverted spelling of God and Dog, and (I think) offered the reader something to contemplate.  If the words are reversed in spelling… maybe they are reversed in real life…   chuckle, chuckle…

Imagine if our dogs were really in charge of us afterall - maybe we are their ‘pets’ or, mascots…  just a bit of humor here.

Since I do not have ALL the answers, I intend to treat everyone/thing with respect.
