Ryan O'Neal on Dying Farrah Fawcett: 'I Won't Know This World Without Her'
When I met Farrah Fawcett, I thought "She is so tiny." As I watched her on Charlie’s Angels, I thought she was just bigger than life! In the movie, "The Burning Bed" she depicted the fullness of a woman’s courage as she decided NO MORE! I hated the story line, since it is all too real - but, I loved her ability to survive.
When I first heard of Farrah’s bout with cancer, I began quietly praying for her, and I simply believed she would survive it. Now, as I type this, there are tears welling up - I only briefly met and talked with she and Ryan, but it was a good moment in time which I remember fondly. My heart goes out to she and Ryan and the children. I am very sad to lose her. Thanks for stopping by, Farrah - be at peace. Namaste
Now that we've passed the 100-day mark, what do you think has been President Barack Obama's best move since gaining office?
darcus grey,
sorry for the length of time before response…
I still believe if we had only gone into Afghanistan and not Iraq, we would not be in the quagmire of today.
The Taliban, would not have set up a primary base in Afghanistan, and we wouldn’t be in the mess with Pakistan we’re in today. I still believe this to be true. I am sorry your nephew is on another tour. It is truly shameful.
Do you believe in God?
Debby,
Yes, ALL things are possible! nothing is impossible… we may not always have the answer at our disposal, is all.
Aborted Fetus Banners Flying Over Notre Dame in Opposition to Obama
it is far from over. women are still seen as property and as extensions of other things - when she gets pregnant, she is no longer a woman, but a uterus with a baby in it.
very nice. By Lemon Tea on 05/02/2009 2:50 pm
I wonder IF they will ever ‘get it’? How can other women be so brutal toward their own, I do not comprehend this. As long as we have a patriarchal system we will have women treated less than… I do not comprehend women who believe it is alright that our status is diminished simply by virtue of our sexuality, and that MEN are the only ones who should be making these decisions for us. Some women actually believe it is their decision… herstorically, it is the males’ decision… we were taught to just go along with whatever they decide.
It was commonly understood back in antiquity that the woman was just the vessel for the male sperm, and that the sperm itself had all the ingredients for procreation… does anyone remember this, or did you not ever learn it?
Thus, the female body is still considered the property of the male, whether we like to believe and accept it, or not. Wake up, folks.
Now that we've passed the 100-day mark, what do you think has been President Barack Obama's best move since gaining office?
Bonnie Oliver,
If you had been around longer you would have already read some of the "…little details" I had written about. I know much of what you write about Obama’s spending - I do not fully comprehend much of it, so I contact my Senators and Reps. in order to get more information.
I also watch CSpan and CNN to get some of the basic information. I continue to bring up the Repubs., because it is still a part of the issues which are affecting us even today. Sometimes I simply get too bored with the same old, same old, so I stop quoting and detailing… I feel it so important that we NEVER EVER experience the Coup de ‘tat which we went through during the eight years of Bush, Cheney, Gonzales, Rice, Rumsfeld, Rove, and others…
The Republicans in my opinion, are about to make a drastic party-line change, and disrupt ALL of the political process we are familiar with. I am so fed up with all the crap they pulled, I don’t care anymore about the details!!!!

darcus grey,
I agree with some of the war stuff… but, I feel certain the President has information which has lead to this recent decision about Afghanistan - back in early 2003 I told a neighbor we should be in Afghanistan but stay out of Iraq! Now, as I look back I realize it would have made all the difference.
As far as the Mexico drug thing… Napalitano has some great ideas on dealing with the arms for drugs, and such going on between us and Mexico, I feel a bit of hope after hearing that. It is so far past time to handle our business and keep the damn drugs out of America!!! And, for us or whomever, to be stopped shipping the arms over the border!
Now that we've passed the 100-day mark, what do you think has been President Barack Obama's best move since gaining office?
Nancy Pea,
Thank you for the nice response. I usually get someone from the "other side" chewing my buttsky out! LOL
It is refreshing to get responses from those who comprehend the truth of the matter, and feel much like myself. I went through eight grueling years of shame and sadness regarding our country and the way it was being torn apart from the top down! Now, I can finally feel pride once again in how our Leadership presents themselves in the world, to the American people, and the sense of calm about what the future has in store for us.
Regardless of the debt, I feel a sense of how we have always come out on top when the people are trusted to do so. This President entrusts the people with common goals and common sense, I believe. We were already so in debt it would take years and years to get out from under… Now, I have a sense of ownership, and comraderie again - not a sense of doom and shame and disgrace. We now have a President who also believes in the PEOPLE of America, which is what makes this country so great, and the sense of ownership which was the foundation that it was initially built on.
So, we had some horrible years to struggle through, we now at least have a future to look hopeful toward once again. I just pray we NEVER allow anything like the last eight years to ever happen to this country again!!!!!
I would also be chewing out the Dems if and when I believe they are wrong, as well. Just a bit of FYI…
Now that we've passed the 100-day mark, what do you think has been President Barack Obama's best move since gaining office?
Suzanne de Cornelia,
YES! I too am very, very thankful for a REAL President, again! One who I can respect, and appreciate - one who is also respected by the other world leaders and other countries, AGAIN. I got so tired of being SO embarrassed for 8 years!!!
I think one of the most important decisions of all was to get "BO" the family dog! Don’tcha think it makes all the difference? LOL

Good grief! Have you forgotten already how much and how badly money was being spent in the previous Admin.? And, please… do not simply say it was because of the terrorist threats, the war, etc. Mr Bush gave away money hand over fist to his corporate buddies… "no bid contracts" too many contractors getting paid $60,000/ yr and money which was "lost" or not accounted for, upwards of $100 million dollars…
The fact that Obama has to clean up the mess from the previous Admin. and the mess on Wall Street and the Housing debacle, all from previously, has a lot of bearing on how much money is being spent now. Why do people seem to conveniently forget those little details?
Clinton previously had left the country in the "Black" - in very good shape financially… Mr. Bush simply took us into war (in the wrong country) which is almost always the Republican answer to increasing the wealth, and borrowed ALL the money for the wars from China, Japan, the U.K., France Germany and more… Unfortunately, war does little to help the masses… it is only intended for the top 1 or 2 % of the people already very wealthy.
Naomi Klein: 'The Wall Street Bailout Is the Greatest Heist in Monetary History'
My major issue and outrage is the initial bailout in which the Admin. and The Treas., Sec. Paulson, just handed OUR money over to their Wall Street Buddies and Business’ CEO’s etc. It is no wonder all these guys got paid millions of dollars in "incentives" and "bonuses."
It is so maddening that OUR President was focused on all his friends making billions of dollars for their support of him… There is a lot of detail in which I do not even care to pursue - I simply watched, listened and read of all the illicit, illegal, greedy, nonsense which was transpiring during the past eight years of that Administration, and the ways in which we the people were being used, and deceived, and taken advantage of - just so a few men could get richer - all at OUR expense!
I get quite angry when it comes to abuses from those in power! I don’t care which party, or group it is… I just don’t want the people of our great country getting the shaft, AGAIN!

Remembering Bea Arthur (Videos)
I have admired Bea Arthur for years and years. She always displayed such gumption and strength. I imagine she was actually like that in ‘real life’ - at least I like to believe that.
I feel such a loss, and I didn’t even know her personally. It just feels like it, because of how much her acting impacted me.
Rest peacefully, Bea. Namaste, Shalom, Peace and Love…
Sen. Feinstein Tells Obama: Let Senate Weigh Torture Prosecution
I am not so concerned if President Obama ordered Pizza from Chicago, as I am whether GWB bought and sold out America, left and right. And, whether he gave all his ‘money buddies’ no-bid contracts so they could rake in billions more dollars [on the American People].
Good grief, you are one of those being spoon-fed the lies and deceit all bundled by the previous Admin., and cronies!
Granted, there are problems still going on in the political arena - it is time for us to clean it ALL UP, once and for all. Ensuring honest people with integrity are elected is a first, big step. I am not naive, however, they are few and far between - we need a huge shake-up in politics.
