Suzanne; Thank you! For so many years I have felt so all alone! I did not realize there were others who could actually SEE the Forest for the Trees! For nearly 6+ years I have been beating down the doors, berating congressional Staff, wearing out my computer keyboard, and spewing over the telephone wires my distaste, disdain, and discontentment regarding this administration! I have been dredging up the same basic points you have written so eloquently for us, and most likely I have worn out my welcome with Congressional Staff - by being, I suspect, their “most frequent caller.” I have in many cases, become known on a first name basis, to the state senator’s staff. I have a strong personality, anyway - so, when I start sputtering my anger and angst at them, I suspect most, if not all staff regret answering my frequent calls! (<— This is written mostly in jest) The point simply being that I do indeed take my citizenship VERY seriously. I am not willing to lay down and play dead when my liberties are being threatened! AND - most of all, I continue to remind them and MySelf - they all work for US! So… I am interested in having you share some of your ideas about defeating the monster! However, I suspect it\they are watching and reading everything! Good grief… and, I thought most people in the USA were smarter and brighter, and more patriotic, and… ???? This is precisely why the Neo-cons have been so damned effective! The News Media either doesn’t have a clue! or, are just playing it safe, or have already sold out! What say you?

WHAT? Am I in the wrong room, am I missing something here? If I am not mistaken, Obama and McCain are running against one another - NOT Obama and Palin! ??? I sort of comprehend the queries and responses above, however, I cannot help shake my head at the seeming fervor of this Palin person vs Obama? Naw, tell me it ain’t so! If people feed into this kind of pattern which seems a derivative of the Republican machine, then we will be expending an awful lot of energy on this woman. Also, give her more attention than she deserves or needs, and we fall into the same old political traps which have been set before by the Repubs., and the Dems jump right on in! Gawd, don’t it look stupid!?

It is a sad commentary, I believe, when the Democratic Party has to tip-toe around such a blatant issue as mysogeny.(sp?) because they don’t want to act offended. All the while, Hillary did an excellent job of stating her positions, speaking up for herself, and commanding respect. Now, let a Republican woman be questioned about her motives, beliefs, and background, and lo and behold the world is unfair to her! This woman strikes me as someone who has tiger claws, venom in her teeth, and a glare which would freeze ‘hell’ over! Yet, poor baby - some are questioning her morality, her voting record, her suspected mischief as Governor, and the world of Republican ‘machinists’ (as in political machine), are all over it! It - the story, the defense of the poor helpless woman, oops, no - the woman who is strong, vocal, gUd Xian, whatttt? Well, you get my drift, don’t you?

I love your article on ‘whatserface’ - oh, yah Palin. lol When I first saw/heard her speak I said to myself, “Self, she is attractive but not too much going on upstairs…” then, I said to my self, “Oops be careful what you think\say aloud. Others may not comprehend from whence you speak, and hear this as something like a ugly ‘dumb-blonde’ kind of joke, since it is directed toward a woman. So… I believe Palin is fairly well educated. I believe she believes what SHE says. I just pray; ya you read it right. “pray” that she is not elected! I thought the times were bad, now! OMG! If she and John McCain get elected, we are in for a tragic, scary time, in this country.
