Report: Brad Peeved at Aniston Over Telling Vogue of Jolie Rift

I think Jennifer has shown amazing restraint in not saying anything publically against Brad or Angelina in all these years. “Uncool” is very mild compared to what I might have said in her position. I agree with Belinda that some people seem to be programmed to cheat. I had a father-in-law like that, and it seemed to run in that side of the family. My husband, fortunately, takes after his mother and believes in monogamy as I do. Jennifer is better off without him. Angelina better be careful as she may just get a plateful of what she dished out. I just wish Jennifer could find the right guy .

Who do you think Obama should choose as the next Treasury Secretary?

Joan, I can understand why Obama is requiring so much informatiom from his prospective Cabinet members and people seeking high-level postions. He wants people with squeeky cleans backrounds to avoid any embarrassment and “I told you so’s” in the future. Perhaps if the Republicans had put forth this kind of effort with Sarah Palin, she never would have been a VP candidate. That said, President-elect Obama may have a very short list to choose from. I don’t know why anyone would want these high pressure jobs, including that of President. But somebody has to do it, and I think we have the best person for the job. It’ll be interesting to see how this all turns out.

Palin Innocent in Shopping Spree Scandal, Says Source

Sorry about that ~ I hit “submit” before I wrote anything. But really, all I was going to say was WHY ARE WE STILL TALKING ABOUT PALIN AND HER WARDROBE?????? I really don’t care, and I’m sure there are many others out there who don’t care either. There are so many other news-worthy things happening in our country and in the world, the media (including these posts at WOW) need to get off Palin and get on to more important things. They all keep talking about Palin running for President in 2012 ~ come on, are they really SERIOUS???? Please, please, please ~ cease and desist!!!!

What's next for Sarah Palin?

Sorry, Alice, but she will NEVER have more women supporting her unless she smartens up (doubtful ~ as Popeye says,”I yam what I yam”), supports women’s issues of the 21st century, and learns to put a coherent sentence together. In her immediate future, she goes back to being Governor, but I truly hope the voters in Alaska don’t send her to the U.S.Senate. A local Wasilla talk show sounds good to me. That’ll keep her off of my TV. Can’t stand the woman. Sorry.

What Kind of First Lady Will Michelle Obama Be?

I think Michelle Obama will prove to be an outstanding First Lady. She has the grace and carriage of a Jackie Kennedy, but I also see that Princess Di quality, where she will invest herself in programs that will help education, poverty, disease, etc. She told Larry King in one of her interviews that becoming first lady will give her enormous opportunities to make a difference in people’s lives (paraphrasing there). Let us not forget that she, too, is a highly educated attorney in her own right. I see big things ahead for First Lady Obama, and I’m very excited for both she and the President-elect.

What Kind of First Lady Will Michelle Obama Be?

Huh? Didn’t quite understand what you’re trying to say.

Jennifer Hudson's Family Attends Private Funeral Today

Oh Dona, my heart aches for you! I just can’t imagine how your family has survived such grief. I have 7 grandchildren of my own, and I couldn’t even fathom the depth of my despair if we lost any of them, or one of our children. You and your family will be in my prayers every day from now on. Bless your heart.

McCain Women Cry Foul Over Anti-Palin Obama Ad (Video)

We’re out west in Katy but still in Harris County. Moved here from Massachusetts 36 years ago. Our family is split this year ~ women (myself and 3 daughters) for Obama, men (husband and son) for McCain. We DO NOT discuss politics at family gatherings! I went back to Massachusetts last week to visit ~ it was so refreshing to talk politics with so many Democrats! Can’t wait for this election to be over!!!

McCain Women Cry Foul Over Anti-Palin Obama Ad (Video)

Sandbee, I, too, am a Texan, and when I went to the polls on Monday, I had no doubt that I was in line with many who were voting for McCain / Palin. However, because of the record turnout of early voters in Houston, I can only hope and pray that many of the people flocking to the polls are Obama supporters like myself. I know from talking to many friends and family that there is a definite turning of the tides. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we woke up Wednesday morning and Texas had turned blue?! Maybe a long shot, but I’m still hoping that Obama can narrow the margin considerably. I pray Obama wins and that God protects him. The more I hear him speak, the more convinced I am that he’s exactly what America needs for our future.

Palin Vows to Break Glass Ceiling for Women, Win or Lose Nov. 4 (Video)

Poor, silly Sarah still doesn’t get it. She doesn’t know why more women don’t support her. Well, maybe if she actually supported women’s issues, more of us would support her ~ of course, we’d have to get past that “stupidity” factor first. She was propelled into the spotlight by desparate Republicans, and her enormous ego has grown to the point where she actually thinks she’d be a viable candidate in 2012. She’s so deluded that she actually thinks she’s popular. She’d have to do a complete 360 degree turn around for me to even consider her as a candidate. I still want to see Hillary break through that glass ceiling.

Have you either early voted or absentee voted in the 2008 Election?

I don’t know why they don’t make early voting available in ALL the states. They have had record numbers of early voters here in Texas. I’m hoping that means a larger percentage of votes will go blue in our historically red state this time. I hate the idea of last minute surprises that can happen in the final days of a major election. I trust that Senator Obama has no sneaky tricks up his sleeve, but I can’t be so confidant about Senator McCain or Ms. Palin. So far, their desparate attempts to slander Obama don’t seem to be working. Marxist? Socialism? Joe Biden was right to laugh and ask his interviewer if she was joking. Does McCain/Palin think Obama is a Socialist because he wants to help the people in this country with SOCIAL Security, unemployment benefits, welfare, Headstart, college funding, etc., etc., ???? McCain / Palin are more like Bush than Bush himself these days.

Accused Neo-Nazi Assassin Who Allegedly Targeted Obama Was 'Nice' and 'Quiet'

I heard Charlie Gibson this AM on “Regis & Kelly” talking about how they’ve managed to keep up with these home-grown racial terrorists by monitoring their activity on the internet. I’m worried about the ones who are smart enough not to expose themselves and aren’t caught. I pray every day to keep Senator Obama safe, and should he become president, I pray that he will be able to accomplish his goals in office. Just when you think we’ve taken two giant steps forward, we are reminded that some in this country want to take a giant step backwards.

Who won Thursday night's debate?

Arty, I’ve been asking that same question ever since McCain picked her. I thought one of the commentators on CNN made an interesting comment last night after the debate. He said to remember back to the morning of 9-11, when George Bush was being flown all over the country in Air Force One because no one was sure what was happening and if there were more targets. He said remember where Cheney was during all that — he was in Washington DC in a situation room making decisions about sending fighter jets up to intercept and bomb air craft. Then the commentator said, “Do we really want to see Sarah Palin in that position that Cheney was in 7 years ago, making those kinds of decisions??” I think McCain and his people have gone over the edge on this one. I use to be 100% Republican, but no more. She does the best she can, but I’m sorry, the woman has only average intelligence compared with everyone else on the tickets. I’m voting Obama-Biden and I’ll sleep good at night knowing their in charge.

Palin, Biden Face Off Tonight in Big Debate

I seriously doubt that she still has an 80% approval rating in Alaska. Log on to Anchorage Daily News on a regular basis and read the articles and comments that her fellow Alaskans are making about her. Doesn’t sound like 80% support to me.
