Oh Whoopi, I, too, have been hoping you would give us your honest assessment of Sarah Palin. I couldn’t agree with you more! I tried listening to the speeches last night, but I kept yelling at the TV, so I eventually changed it. I can’t abide Guilliani, but I tried in all sincerity to listen to all of Ms. Palin’s speech. She was so mean, nasty and condesending, I just couldn’t stand it. She certainly thinks highly of herself! I spent most of the afternoon verifying some of the things she’d said. Is she so stupid to thinks she can lie about her record, and people won’t find out?? As far as the pregnant daughter issue, I agree, it’s a family issue ~ so why put the teenage boyfriend on public display, like this makes everything alright,” see- they’re together and getting married.” She endorses abstinance only , no sex ed. in school - well, that worked out well for her daughter, didn’t it? Yes, Bristol made the choice to keep her baby. But if they’d made the choice to use birth control, this wouldn’t even be an issue. I’m volunteering to work for Obama’s campaign. We cannot afford 4 more years of republican lies and bullying.

Tee Zee, I just read that story on the link you provided. OMG! If all of it’s true, then Sarah Palin is one scary witch!! EVERYONE, including all those dreamy-eyed republicans at the convention need to read this, The dems better verify all these facts and get them out in the open. I was never going to vote for McCain anyway, but for those who may be thinking they will because now he has this “great” running mate, need to be made aware of the facts. It’s very troubling.

Oh, Whoopi, you have such a way with words! I agree with everything you said. I just can’t imagine, if McCain were elected and then couldn’t serve his term, that HIS choice as a replacement is some inexperienced chick from some little town in Alaska. Maybe senile dementia has already set in. I’m sure all the late-night talk show guys are sharpening up their wit as we speak! I can’t wait to hear what you all have to say next week when The View returns. Oh, and, here’a a message for Tee Zee ~ I, too, cannot tolerate that young, blonde airhead that cohosts with Whoopi. God knows I’ve written to the producers of the show enough times about her. However, I can assure you, that she is NOT influencing viewers of her age. I have three daughters around her age, and none of them can tolerate her. One of my daughters will call me while The View is on and rant about something EH is saying. My daughter has often wondered how someone of her age can be so rigid and narrow minded. However, I love The View so much that even EH can’t make me turn it off. I’m hoping for another pregnancy and a long maternity leave.

Hmmmm…maybe John is just another flip-flopping politician after all?! Let me tell you, I have voted Republican in every election since I was 22, going back to Gerald Ford. However, I am so fed up with GW and his good ol’ boy politics (BTW, I’ve lived in Texas for 36 years) and his stupid mistakes, I voted for Hillary in the primaries, and I will vote a straight Democratic ticket come Nov. They say Barack has no experience? Oh please, how much experience did GW have in national politics (sorry, Dad’s experience doesn’t count)? All he was prior to being elected was governor of Texas, and not a very good one at that. I have loved all the speeches this week. Can’t wait until tonight.

The one good thing here is that many of the people who were evacuated from N.O. to Houston never went back. They chose to stay here and rebuild their lives because, as one man was quoted as saying last night on our local news,”It’s gonna happen again. You just wait. It’s gonna happen again.” And can anyone please explain to me how in the world did Ray Nagin get elected AGAIN????

If you don’t like Fox’s coverage, try watching CNN. I enjoyed their commentaries, and there was no noise interference while Michelle was giving her speech. Oh, and, I think it’s safe to say that Mark Klein is a Republican with that tired old Republican mind set.
