From what I understand, they can take the stem cells and "teach or manipulate" them to grow into other cells for different purposes.  However, what they haven’t been able to do as of yet is to "teach" these cells when to "stop" when their job is done.  The cells will continue to try to do it’s work, thus creating tumors and other issues.

I’m keeping my eye on this, the benefits of stem cell research and therapy are just to enormous to ignore.

I hope and pray every day that the global science community will be able to find a cure for Spina Bifida thru stem cell research.

It was reported today that China, is way ahead in the area of stem cell research, and there is a Canadian boy with SB heading there for stem cell implantation.

If it is successful, then perhaps one day, my own son may benefit from stem cell research, and perhaps one day he too will be able to experience that which we all take for granted, just the pleasure of taking a walk.

My husbands dealership, sees many sub prime loans going into default, and many sub prime lenders are going belly up.

DeB, I believe that Sub prime lending in general is a bad idea.

I realize it’s a tool to re-establish credit for some, and if used properly and responsibly it can be a good thing, unfortunately it also attracts many who know they will default.

Jason was enough to turn me off that show for good.
