Keith O.’s commentary on Prop 8 left me breathless ! I too don’t understand…………..do you ?……It is incomprehensible that others are so mean spirited as to think ‘their’ way is the only way. Perhaps one day equality will actually mean that ‘all men are created equal’ and free to live as they choose. As much as I love my country, I am ashamed of my country for not extending these rights to ALL.

Yes, Rahm Emmanuel, Chief of Staff to Obama……whose father fought for Israel…….Did the GOP make us think that Obama would not be a friend to Israel ? Did I get a note from a family friend stating that “any Jewish person who votes for Obama is demented’…..indeed I did. I got a flyer showing McCain wearing a yarmulke and praying at the Wailing Wall. “Return to Sender”, said I and dropped it back in the mailbox. I yearn for the day when elections will be a debate of ideas…………is this too much to ask for ? Way to go Obama. Good luck Rahm .

Elaine, what is the difference when the photo was taken, the holes were still evident……….or are you implying that they found a pair of ratty old shoes for him to wear and then used it as a photo op ??????……..There was another photo and mention of his ‘scuffed shoes’ back when ‘Barbie McCain” wore a $300,000 outfit to the convention……….and yes, $25,000 was over the top as far as I was concerned but I wanted to make you happy !

Elaine………..I give up !……..As I see it $25,000 would have sufficed for a wardrobe and perhaps the rest going into the coffers of inner city schools to buy supplies for needy children…………they could’ve picked ‘Any School USA’ and made a difference……BTW, I recently saw a photo of Obama with his feet up on a desk …….. lo and behold he had holes in his shoes ! I am so upset at the McCain campaign for allowing Palin to incite the crowds as she criss crosses America. The idea that some bozo would scream out “Kill him” when she implies that Obama is a terrorist is beyond the pale. Does anyone remember Adolph Hitler’s inciteful rants ? Why didn’t they boot this guy out of the audience? I can’t sleep. My stomach is in knots. How did we get here? Please wake me when it’s over.

HALSTON…….for the past 25 years………….it is my signature ‘smell’ and people know when i walk into a room without having seen me. Hardly a week goes by without someone saying, “You smell good”. I guess it just works with my body chemistry as other friends have tried it and it doesn’t smell the same. Another plus is that it is inexpensive………who could ask for anything more?

I always feel odd when i am in public (office) and I pick up a magazine and immediately start reading from from back to front. Maybe it’s because there is a great deal of advertising on the front end of the magazine………..strange bunch we are but glad to know I am not alone !
