HBO Executive Producer Sheila Nevins on the Making of 'Heidi Fleiss: The Would-Be Madam of Crystal'

I’m hoping that young women (or older women) don’t get the idea that creating a prostitution ring is a quick rich idea and try it for themselves. Most prostitutes have an addiction to something (from the sounds of it Heidi has a few herself). I think it is a very poor way to make money—by the selling of someone else’s body. I don’t care if it is legal or not. There are spiritual, moral, ethical, and medical issues that need to be examined. My heart goes out for the “John’s” that are the money makers for Heidi.

wOw Scenes: Our Pets

Thanks for sharing all the pics. My dad was a veterinarian so I learned the love of animals at an early age. I have a dog and he is the joy of my life (along with my children, of course). I helped save Buddy from a family that was neglecting him, and he took to our family like a duck to water! I would love to hear how each of you chose your pooches, or should I say how they chose you! : )

Lie About Your Age, by Dr. Judith Sills

Age is mind over matter—if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. If I don’t want someone to know my age I simply don’t tell them. But so far, I don’t care who knows, because my age doesn’t bother ME. When my age does bother me I’ll decide what to do then. By the way—-I’m 48. LOL

Which online resource do you use most often?

I use Google first, then I use Yahoo!, Dogpile, and Snap. If all fails, I ask one of my kids (ages 13, 16, 18, 20, and 21) because they usually know! LOL

Introducing ... 'Buzz Up!'

Joni, I love wow and tell all the women I know about it. I come here as often as I can, and I enjoy learning all you and the other women have to offer. I know you and the others at wow will keep making additions and changes as needed. Such a WONDERFUL site, really!!

You'd rather be ...

I’d rather be motorcycling or horseback riding.

Hollywood Is Blamed for 17 High School Girls' Pregnancy Pact

Annymin, Thanks for that insight, even when a tough choice is made, a positive side can come out of it. I am willing to bet that all of us have made a life events decision that didn’t turn out the way we planned, but turned out okay or helped to turn our perspective to a different direction. Teenagers, now more then ever, need to have adult friends to lean on and get advice. At my home, we always seem to have an additional 4 or 5 teens and the conversations I have been brought into have been very interesting (to say the least). Let the teens talk and speak their peace. Perhaps talking can help them sort out their real choices. Gretchen

Hollywood Is Blamed for 17 High School Girls' Pregnancy Pact

Becoming pregnant and being a sigle mom has become an accepted trend. We who are older know the woes of that lifestyle, but unfortunately the teens will have to learn the hard way, just like some of us have. No matter what the cause is, attention or otherwise, I think it is time to have classes in high schools and jr. high schools to educate the girls and boys about this unfortunate choice. And parents, come on now, they can take responsibility, too, need to talk to their children about this new trend, and warn them how their peers may be misleading them.

Candice Bergen's Dad: Don't Rely on Your Looks

I agree completely. My father and mother taught us that we can achieve anything if we want it enough. Good old fashioned hard work and sweat will never be replaced by good looks and money (but money does help pay the bills and get the necessities of life). I believe true beauty and serenity comes from the inside, and I’ve been blessed with an ample supply. So even when times get tough, which they have, I keep focused on my goals and realize that bad times will pass and good times will reappear.

Candice Bergen: I May Be Moody, But I'm Not Sick

Today anything can make you sick, even the medicine that is supposed to make you well! I have several friends that have had allergic reactions to different types of antibiotics and has nearly killed them. One must be careful and prudent when choosing foods and medicine. And above all, don’t believe everything you read because money is a great motivator to big companies and people alike. If they can sell something for a buck they will cover the dangers—in my opinion.

Advice to Those About to Marry: Don't! Here's Why ...

Bella, I am happy to hear that your daughter was married in the temple. Keeping in step with the prophets words makes such a big difference, as you see the worldly ways. Paying with cash, and not on credit makes such a difference! My 18-year-old son is planning on going on a mission in a year and he has been saving for just two years, and he is so proud of budgeting his money and knowing that he will have enough to pay for himself. Advice to Those About to Marry: Don't! Here's Why ...

I think you are completely wrong. Marriage is a wonderful. Though I do agree spending thousands of dollars is a waste. Instead, consider having a small wedding with close family, or if this is a 2nd or 3rd marriage why not have a JP do the honors instead. Do save your money and put it into a nice honeymoon (or vacation for those of you who have been together for a while) or put your money into savings or into something that will gain value with time.

Are you superstitious?

No, I’m not superstitious. I’m a christian, and put my belief in a higher power that I choose to call God. By putting my faith in God I rebuke all power that would coincide with creating superstitions or anything that would cause fear without a just reason. I believe that superstitions are old hand-me-down fears. Someone told someone, and someone else told someone else. My children are not superstitious. In fact, my 13—year-old daughter likes the number 13!

Do you still think about the 'one that got away'?

None of them “got away”. I booted them out. So no, I don’t think of them. I just keep hoping to find the right one.

What television show do you miss the most?

High prices of gas?!? We stayed home. Going to buy a motorcycle, and change to an online college. Hope to save miles and save money.
