I voted for Melinda Gates. I was torn between Melinda Gates (because she works in THIS country to improve the PUBLIC education system so that American children can be better educated for free, along with linking these children to the world via technology) and Oprah Winfrey (because she is changing people’s thinking by educating them on ways to change the soul, as well as the actual education she provides through her school). They’re a ties in MY book.

I think wowOwow missed the mark on this one. Last night was the second episode of a new drama series on NBC, “My Own Worst Enemy” about a spy who has an alternate personality embedded into his brain by the agency as his cover. In the episode, the main character’s “primary” personality makes love to the alternate’s wife using “the hummingbird” and sends her into a tizzy. Now THAT is what all the internet inquiries are about…who CARES what the actual hummingbird does with his beak and tail feathers. Same thing happened years ago on “L.A. Law” when a mild attorney was told by a bigamist client about a sexual method called “the butterfly”. Now…answer THAT! :^)

With a clear understanding that politically promised policies have a way of changing with the times, I am only interested in the proposed policies of the candidates. So long as the intentions and plans of the candidate are in MY best interests, I’m on the bandwagon.

For your personal edification: The game dates back to the late 1600’s (or close) when running and hiding OUTSIDE were the norm for play (you & I remember those days, perhaps, but my grands rarely play outside). The name “Oliver” was popular and boys’ chores often were tending to the farm animals. So, in playing the came of “catch” the prompt was to yell “Olly, Olly, oxen free!” to get the kids out from hiding and into play for catching. :^) P.S. THANKS for the msnbc. link to Colin Powell. I do believe in ghosts…the lingering souls of the deceased…all deceased. I’ve had several “otherworldly presence” experiences with the family cat. We had her for 19 years and she feebly died in my arms. On occassion, as I’d walk from the driveway to the front door of the old house, out of the corner of my eye I’d see a “dash” of shadow run across the lawn and know that it was Choo-Choo.

I didn’t attend my 10th out of vanity. I spent my HS years as every guy’s chubby “little sister” and swore that I’d return svelte and desirable! Guess what? Comes the date of the 10th reunion and I’m in the last few weeks of pregnancy with my 8 pound daughter! I was as huge as 2 chubby little sisters! LOL!

I wasn’t happy with either candidate, in general. With 4 weeks to the elections I don’t want to hear either man answer each question with further campaign rhetoric. Neither was specific in answering all the questions. I feel that Sen. Obama gave a better overall impression of his Presidency than Sen. McClain. When asked about the exact bailout plan for middle class citizens I preferred Sen. Obamas response; that he would apply strict oversight to the Treasury Secretary to secure the details of the bail out plan already voted in and to also coordinate with foreign countries about our debt and commitments. What was Sen. McCain thinking when he brought up buying up bad mortgage loans?! Didn’t we already DO that to the tune of $840,000?! And when asked what economic sacrifices the President would ask his fellow American to make, I preferred Sen. Obama’s idea of incentives to save energy as opposed to to Sen. McCain’s plan to drop some programs and freeze spending. And can anyone tell me WHO the HELL John McCain was calling “that one”?! cuz I KNOW he couldn’t have been directing that disrespectful remark towards Barack Obama!

Every time I read it I am chilled by the steely, almost impersonal, quest for revenge based on a presumed affront.

Hi Kryssi. You wanna know the difference? WE are Americans and THEY are not. WE want “democracy” for ALL (so that we can enfold them into the capitalist garment which best benefits the resource needs and greeds of our countrymen). THEY only want freedom for themselve. And I’m not condoning terrorist activity (as I know you’re not) of ANY kind: from foreign misguided fools of domestice ones (Tim McVeigh, anyone?)
