As a rooster I will stay out of the hen house regarding the View, I was not impressed with watching the TV this past June when I visit my son. I did see 10 minutes of the View because I am a Whoopie fan but changed the channel seeing how the show was going….wow. Yes I was at woodstock and it had a message from that generation, it made clear my life belonged to me and being there was a insight to my future with or without drugs. I felt part of a new society that would make changes in the near future, and better late than never. Uncle Sam needed to shave and wear some beads for a change. My heart will always be at woodstock and the event is as historical as pilgrims landing at plymonth rock. T.Teamoh

Americans can not compare one month or year….to the EIGHT YEARS it took to create the downfall of the economy, what stupid thinking….

Unfortunately Marlo in America there are the Haves and Have Not…example, being from New York City and a professional Architectual and urban designer, I worked for the Mayors Office of Planning and Development. My first real exposure to community affairs and the political process. I decided to work within my old community which needed housing, jobs and other economic development opportunities. I work closely with a district New York State Assemblyman, who was responsible for funding projects in the community receiving Federal and State Grants. This was my reality check…we were in his car going to city hall to submit a proposal I prepared for a work program and housing rehabilitaion. I asked…"why do our community have so many problems when money is available from Washington?" His reply…Proverty programs are designed to FAIL." Why? How? I asked. He looked at me with a smile, and answered…when district leaders get big grants they do not spend the money in the community as they should, they hire their friends and family and let the money sit in a Program Bank account drawing big interest. The government requires a audit in 90 days to 120 days. If the money is returned to the government before, then there is no law broken. During my employment with his program for four months and he held my pay checks for six weeks and I quit. Now you learned something about community politics and why many poor communities are never restored or maintain for people to live a descent life, or be employed. Politics in America is a game…there are winners and losers. So I ended my career in the city and left, and when I return to visit my family I see nothing has changed. I think it is better to let the people spend as they wish, it is their tax money….right?

Whoopi as always was for real and could chat with the best of any human…and that is why she is a star of reality. Great lady.

Whoopie I always admire you, since those first years in Brooklyn and Manhattan as a stand up comic, you remind me of my great Aunt Ruby….a realist with vision, hope and understanding. However I also believe the capability of our brother president Obama; but, it is the system here that is the question…if the citizens do not monitor and punish the guilty, it remains a joke…on US. The rich walk away and people sleep in cars with no gas, yes, it will be tough for a long time especially if “Change” is only a word with no action. Peace and Joy….

This issue has been tossed around far too long, and American families should have a good National health care system serving them. The sacrifice of families sending their children off to wars to protect this nation, deserve better security for their well being from a grateful government. Forget private companies, they are full of greed for themselves and never do the right thing for the benefit of the sick. Whoopie…why does America continue to accept a myth, Columbus did not land on American soil…he landed on an island in the Caribbean. The Chinese landed in California to resupply their great fleet during their global tour and left, way before Columbus was conceived. The Vikings are the truth first settlers here, and they too left after hardships. No wonder our students never know the truth about history. I never accept Columbus day…..TT

I would consider to run for vice president only if this society was willing to do the right things; first restore national pride and sincere honor not just honorable words of deceit. Confirm the values of the constitution and declaration of independence. Apologize to minorities for injustice and neglect, punish leaders of institutions for violating the laws. Assist the veterans who protect this nation with first class medical treatment ,and fire lazy and non qualified government workers. Make our school education system stable with returning the national pledge alligeance and health care a top priority. Pass laws safe guarding Consumer rights and protection, and pay accident benefits to victims within seven days not years later after they die,…..and Race issues in America is banned forever, all citizens are to be called Americans. Restore the death penalty for murder, rape, especially child abuse, and ban all private owned guns except for police, military and security agencies..Three strikes your out ,in our criminal courts and will do 10 or 20 years with no parole, will do hard labor state wide. Attacking public officials like school teachers will result in being expelled for one year or jail time depending on the offense. All of these is to make the citizens responsible for their actions if society is to continue as civilized, safe and healthy…..TT
