The problem, Deborah, is that you don’t know enough to respond to Diana’s brilliant post.  The plan on the part of Osama Bin Laden is working right on schedule, with the help of people who ‘think’ like you do.  The man used our planes to blow up our buildings and cause us to squander our resources in the service of fear to bankrupt us and destroy our international credibility.  The Bush Administration, led by Cheney and Karl Rove, destroyed the United States Constitution, a document which has provided hope to most of the world for three centuries, because they were too ignorant to understand the long-range effects of their actions.  Bin Laden knew exactly what he was doing.  He fired the first shot and then sat back as the Bush Administration and other foolish people busily began destroying our country from within.  You cynically, thinking how very smart you are, used President Obama’s slogan to try to drive home your "point" which is that somehow you are the one who really knows what is happening.  So dismissing Ms. Diana’s post only shows (a) you haven’t a clue what has happened in this country in the past decade; (b) you probably don’t have the courage you will need to face what has happened; and (c) you haven’t the sense to listen to intelligent, well-informed people who might just might help you pull yourself together to deal with what is coming.

Yet again, twist what I said.  Speaking of twisting, how in your mind do you manage to deal with the fact that The Clinton Administration left us with a budget surplus, and the Bush Administration left us with the largest national debt in history (topping only that left by the Reagan Administration) and yet you still have some deformed thought that it is the Democrats who are the problem?  I am not defensive, I’m simply not willing to allow you to make unfounded, untruthful statements about the Speaker or or about President Obama or "liberals" or whatever else you call people you don’t like without telling you to your nose that it is bs.  Because it is.

Just because you’re ranting on doesn’t mean squat.  The people you support have dismanted the manufacturing base in this country.  They’ve dismantled the regulatory apparatus that could have prevented the wholesale theft of the baby boomers’ 401(k)s and other retirement savings.  They’ve looted the stock market.  They spent thrillions of borrowed dollars in a wrongheaded war.  They deregulated the communications industry so people are paying hundreds of dollars a month for telephone service.  And you rant on as though your chirping is somehow going to mask the fact that President Obama got stuck with trying to stop the avalance.

Speaker Pelosi has been an unwavering supporter of Amnesty International and of the human rights agenda in the United States for decades.  Which is more than I can say of many of the people criticizing her.

So howcum we gave the previous administration 8 years and won’t give President Obama 8 months?  Have something to say about the fairness of that?  Or are we just supposed to "understand."

The President is not "failing."  The system that has been corrupted over decades by your party is failing, Marjorie, and you’re blaming him.  Let’s not pretend that yours is the majority view.
