What is with UK they really treated Tubby badly and now Gillespie.  I know your not a basketball person but from someone else who is from another storied program KU Jayhawks it just looks bad the way they have treated the last 2 coaches but for KU’s sake we only need 18 more wins to surpass you guys on the all time win record but then we have to go after Carolina.  Sounds like you guys might go after Calipari, if so it might take us longer to make up those 18 wins.  As always Rock Chalk Jayhawk

Chelsea, Malia and Sasha I believe are all still quite a bit younger children, someone correct me if I am wrong but wasn’t Jenna and Barbara in college when their Dad was elected? Those girls are lucky: nowadays one of their dates or classmates would have used their cell phone to get more embarrasing pictures and would have put it on you tube in a New York minute and I think that has more to do with the age they were not what party their dad belonged to.

I am confused is this person a she/he a he/she a transgender or just a simple cross dresser or someone who just needs to get a life instead of worrying about the First Ladys itinerary.

I’m sure I am out of touch as well.  I also have 3 teens so you all know where my clothing budget goes.  I do like J. Jill, Chico’s, Talbot’s, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor brands they seem to be sensible for work and have pants that fit real women who have crazy multi tasking lives and are not 6’0 foot tall and a size 2.  I don’t have to wear suits all the time any more so I can mix and match jackets, pants and blouses. I also love TJ Maxx and consignment shopping but those stores you have to take some time to look and don’t always find what you are looking for.

I am late on this topic have been out of town.  I say yes yes yes. 

But then again I am self employed and so is my husband we can’t afford coverage any more for our family of 5 because of the increases. so we do without.  Recently our son had to be taken to the emergency room with seizure like symptoms he was in Pediatric intensive care the bill is over 16,000 for 30 hours.  The Doctor had us readmit him again last week so they could do an eeg because the episodes are still occuring.  The hospital is trying to help push us through under our state schip program.  Hopefully it will happen.  We for the most part have been blessed and healthy but at this point unless we can get qualified all bets are off.  We do not have 16,000 any more then we have the almost 1400 a month to be covered.

I am just guessing but if this happened in Canada we would have been admitted into the ER and my son would have been taken care of and recieved a cat scan and an eeg just like we did here but it sure wouldn’t have cost 16,000 and force a family to make a decision about how to pay, or do we try to sell our home or commit bankruptcy and they still do not know what is causing these episodes because his brain does not show signs of seizures but his electrolytes are all out of whack. 

He is 15 and I am sure at this point these will qualify as preexisting so he may be screwed at 15 for the rest of his life here in the good old USA,  Yea that is something to be proud of.  Land of the Free Home of the Brave,  you better be brave if you are one of the 48 million and counting of us without insurance.  Enjoy your bennies while you have them.  Pretty soon it will be you.

i picked a sunflower because kansas is known as the sunflower state.  Our weather has been kind of crazy here but it has not been anything like what you have described.  The wind has been very breezy  and cold this winter but we have had little precipitation unlike last winter when we had quite a bit of snow and ice

I grew up part of the time on a farm and I do remember what it is like to lose electricity and try to stay warm.  We lost power a couple years ago for several days but thank God have a fire place.

I wouldn’t wish that either haha but there have been some here who need to be medicated with some happy pills.  

As the parent of 3 teens, who knows how this whole thing will play out, neither do we know how much was orchestrated during the run up to the election.  My one comment about Levi is that it does seem odd knowing how the teens in my house are about updating their my space pages and face book with new pictures of them and their new boy or girlfriends and all the blogging about what is going on in their lifes and who is their new bff that he did not have info about Bristol on his page in the beginning.

The one thing I can certifiably say is that being a teen or being their parents is a drama unto itself and it is hard work.

I haven’t been on this week and was pleasently surprised with the tone.  I know I have at times been guilty of going off track and of getting irritated with some but lately I have just tried to ignore some of the more radical trolls who have seemed to have taken over because some had become downright vicious and mean.  I was glad to see some of them not here.

Good for you Meghan, she is mean and rude i started to dislike her when she said mean things about the 9/11 widows and ridiculed their pain and what their families went through.  At that point I felt like she lacked common decency, I guess not being a parent herself she could in no way relate to how hard it must be to tell your children they have lost a parent to such a tragedy and to heal.  She was furious over the 9/11 commission and their findings and called those women spoiled rich widows.

Maybe she needs to hook up with Rush, interesting that the spokespeople for the party of family values have no families, they do not have much invested in the future other then theirselves and their needs. 

John Stewart and Stephen Colbert are both very funny guys, I have gotten so many laughs from watching them.  Whats refreshing about them is they truly are funny instead of just being snide, mean, condescending and pompous. 

The english can be very brutal in the press.  I always felt bad the way they were always back biting and saying rude things about Princess Di.

I imagine that this was a snafu just look at the way Michelle gave Laura Bush that gift on inauguration day, I think she is a thoughtful nice person and this journalist is trying to sell newspapers something that is not so easy today so he is obviously acting like the paparazzi saying outrageous stuff to sell his rag.

Yes that good old boy Rush he has always spoken up for us "Soccer Moms and Feminazi’s" I think last I remember listening to him he was telling America how we were going to ruin America…..hmmmm news flash ditto heads I think Bernie Madoff and the Kings of Wall Street beat us to it….so much for your talent on loan from god

I think Rhianna better think long and hard about this.  I did hear that Tina Turner had warned her after it happened.  I did not know about Halle being deaf in one ear.  How sad

I know their are women who cause drama like Belinda pointed out but I would be so disappointed and angry if I ever heard that one of my sons hit a women/ girl (they are both teens) in anger.  They know better than that.  Thankfully they have never seen that kind of violence at home.  Chrome Toe, Your daughter is lucky to have you.

As far as Rush goes all those years ago he was always bashing soccer moms and those terrible feminazis that irritated me.  He is condescending and smug. 

Several years back he covered a local story here in Kansas about aplace called the Lords Diner which is staffed by volunteers from all faiths, the catholics donated the land and donations from the methodists baptists and many other faiths got the building built in downtown Wichita to help feed the homeless and the working poor and their families.  It is a top notch wonderful facility that he totally bashed and made fun of on the air and I found his attitude toward charitable giving disgusting and nauseating.  he made comments that let you know how he felt about common decency and compassion.  After those remarks I think he is a waste of good food. 

sorry to hear that we feel like we have our share we all cringe when it comes to Phelps, you know he’s the one that pickets funerals for soldiers.  Thank god for the patriot guard that protects families from them.  Kline was so over the top going after Tiller that he botched some of what could have been accomplished.

many of us became somewhat jaded after suffering from the summer of mercy campaign brought to us by operation rescue, that was a miserable summer all those picketers and they were all men.  Many of them looked like they came straight from the FLDS sect.  It made many of us that would like to have some stricter guidelines disgusted because they were so militant that it turned many of us away.
