Think about this for a moment——how many people have to die or get cancer, or have their nervous systems compromised, or suffer thru miscarriages, and how many children have to be born fine, then turn out to have autism after their first shots? How many toxic poisons does it take to cause these anomolies and more—-before ‘common sense’ steps up and punches the face of denial?
Oh! Forgot! Common Sense doesn’t make a lot of money…I guess it won;t have the power to overcome what really controls thought and action…MONEY!

I watched the Town Hall today in Montana, with Obama as the question-answerer……It went well, it was civil, no one was shouting, people seemed to accept his answers, and not all the questions were ‘easy’…..imagine my surprise when I listened shortly after that, to one of the ‘commentators’ describing the event, at 5pm ET….A completely different Town Hall than what I saw for myself! CREATING NEWS????? You bet it is!!!!!! Creating danger to Obama? No question about that—-the FBI is now going after people online who are making threats to Obama….On one of the blogs I frequently visit—-a guy who went too far in his hate-mongering got a personal visit from the FBI—-after one of the other board members reported him—-they were encouraged to look into his posts, by the board moderator—-we haven;t heard from him in a while…..thank goodness….
I read a report yesterday that the FBI is more concerned about the threats and danger to Obama than any other Pres. in recent history—-much of the hate against Obama is based on his race—-this health bill, for instance…which is being written by congress…not Obama…yet it is Obama that is being blamed for the dirty politics and the flat out lies these shenannigans are producing…..Either people think he is superman, and can do 2 months of work in one day….or people are basically stupid, do not think for themselves, and believe anything they need to believe to feel good about themselves……tonight, someone was suggesting on one of the news programs I listened to, that this ‘craziness’ was the fault of daytime TV…which appeals to the lesser educated in this country…..there will ALWAYS be excuses—-after all…it must reamin a secret that there are folks who do not like Black people! running things, even if they ARE smarter!…….a shame….

So either Republicans were for death panels in 2003 before turning against them now—or they’re lying about end-of-life counseling in order to frighten the bejeezus out of their fellow citizens and defeat health reform by any means necessary. Which is it, Mr. Grassley ("Yea," 2003)?Reps. John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.), who both claimed end-of-life consultations could result in "government encouraged euthanasia," also voted for similar policy in 2003.Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.) tried to call Grassley on Friday and tell him he was wrong about health care reform. He got the senator’s voicemail.

You might like this little ditty:
More hypocrisy….Grassley Voted For So-Called "Death Panel" In 2003Time Magazine’s Amy Sullivan pointed out last night that, for all of his ardent demagoguery on the so-called "death panels," Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) voted for just such a provision in 2003.Remember the 2003 Medicare prescription drug bill, the one that passed with the votes of 204 GOP House members and 42 GOP Senators? Anyone want to guess what it provided funding for? Did you say counseling for end-of-life issues and care? Ding ding ding!!So either Republicans were for death panels in 2003 before turning against them now—or they’re lying about end-of-life counseling in order to frighten the bejeezus out of their fellow citizens and defeat health reform by any means necessary. Well Lily—-this is the first moment that I have been aware that you asked for a show of hands….when things get too ugly and hate-driven, I stay away from this site for a week or two….
I raise my hand. I have a copy of the bill, I have read thru several sections, as I prepared myself in advance of several meetings in my area—I have yet to finish reading—-but I have been fortunate in that I have been able to discuss with others who are actually reading and studying it, from all over the country….the miracle of the inet…….

A very thorough study was done during the campaign, by a non-partisan reserch think-tank group. They studied the healthcare systems in several European countries as well as other parts of the world…and then they took a look at the Obama plan, the Clinton Plan, and the McCain plan…analyzing them using what they learned worked and did not work, elsewhere, and also analyzed them according to cost/benefit for the US populations……these men and women came up with the conclusion, that the plan Obama was rooting for, during the campaign, was the best plan of the 3 candidates…and yes they took a look at the other candidates’ plans as well…and pulled out the best of theirs, in the analysis. Both PBS and NPR ran programming which discussed the conclusions, and I watched and/or listened to all of them.
I agree with you, that this is too imprtant to be politically driven. We tend to forget that the ‘prescription option’, passed under the Bush administration, as an addition to Medicare, was NOT funded…there was no plan to fund it…but the pharma companies did make tons of money on it—-at the expense of those seniors who spent the most for their medications at the outset…..About the same time the orchestration began regarding the prescription plan, Pharma was lobbying Congress to require—yes REQUIRE—-prescriptions for vitamins, to be written by doctors…..Pharma was running out of time on their patents, and was looking desparately for another source of income——they got the prescription plan on medicare as their source, as a bribe, perhaps, to drop the vitamin thing…..
It has been my opinion for some time now, that congress should have term limits…..there are way too many lobbyists that ultimately pad the pockets of congressmen who continue to be voted in over and over and over and over…….I have to ask myself, that old chicken and egg question…..Is my Congressman doing what his constituants want? Or is he telling his constituents what they should want—to match what he wants? sometimes I wonder—-I can email hundreds of people on a random basis, and poll them on any particular issue…only to learn down the road, the my Rep voted just the opposite….and SAID that he is representing what we want….but all too often things just do not add up…..
