haha…good point, MK!  Who WOULD they be able to sell them to? It is my opinion that the Rasmussen poll is picked on purpose by those with a particluar agenda…..in this case, it seems, the agenda is to fuel hate and extremist comments from the right side of the aisle…..As one who worked for Gallup once, as well as another polling organization, back when McCain ran for office the first time…I am fully aware of the ‘shennanigans’ that COULD be used to skew a poll to the direction wanted…like I said, yesterday I read somewhere in some media website, about the Rasmussen polls, the phrasing of their questions, and the lack of ethics when the results can be manipulated with the insertion or subtraction of ONE word…

Having been the recipient of those Rasmussenc robo-calls during the last election, on behalf of McCain, I can tell you in all candor, that one of my responses was rejected, and the question asked a second time….no dubt I did not ‘fit’ into their agenda with my answer—the questions are assuming the responder is a cow, with a ring in its nose, easily led….and my response was, obviously, unexpected—-given the response to a previous question…..At other polling houses, the phone cals are made by a person——not a computer taht is pre-programmed for the answers…..oh well….I just ignore Rasmussen results.

On another thought——why does WOW condone hate-filled, insulting comments attacking the posters?  Why would ANYone other than kelly, deber, and there is another one this morning, to overthrow their boards?  How on earth, is there room for intelligent discussion, when whatever anyone OTHER than the 3 above, makes attempt to contribute, they are attacked, belittled, and beaten up with hateful, sometimes racist, off the wall lies?  Who would want to visit?  When they know a visit will only result in verbal abuse?  Is this a website that protects the neo-cons obstructionists, only?  Wish there was an option of an  button, so that I could ignore the posts of those people whose purpose is to ‘obstruct’  discussion.       

Gallup has a different number than Rasmussen….I read somewhere today —suggesting the phrasing of the Rasmussen questions was getting the Rasmussen-desired response, rather than the response the interviewee  would have selected for themselves…Oh well here is the Gallup link:

Regarding the decline…it is normal, when there is a change in leadership, that there is turbulence with the "I like him’ factor.  It is why Universities often hire an interim President when a long time President retires, before they hire the one they expect will be around for a while……The adjustment to change is difficult for most people…so they hate the person that represents that change, UNTIL they can get used to it—-So many ‘expectations’ of Obama….and he has only been in office for 6 months—-not even long enough to birth a baby—-

Obama has, actually, accomplished a heck of a lot more than his predecessor, in the short amount of time…but then no one really expected much from Bush—-not like they do from Obama!

RE: Weather patterns….I agree with you that they are cyclical….James Lovelock is an author who addressed this well before Gore got involved—-he wrote a book called Gaia, which I have and have read, and is thought to be one of the first people to get the green movement started, before it was called the green movement.  He is a scientist, but his philosophy leans more conservative than it does liberal….It is his cylical argument that business and GOP-ers cling to, when there is question as to whether we humans are destroying our planet….but Lovelock has opinions, ALSO, that we do have the power to accelerate , and therefore, to de-celerate the speed of destruction….which is where Gore picks up……..

Speaking of enormous debt——lets’ see…..Bush-Cheney were leading the country for 8 years, and when they took office, we had a surplus, so they say….and according to those that pay attention to ‘spending’,…..ie the economists—you know—-the smart people who get paid to pay attention to such things—-why as I recall….Bush/Cheney left us with the most debt EVER in the history of the USA!  We had money in the bak—-they not only spent that money—-they charged up America’s credit cards to the max——and they even threw out the baby with the bathwater!!!!!
